  1. If the pipe is broken before the meter, you should call the water provider (emergency phone number on the ticket you get every month in the small box) and explain them that there is a leakage. They will send someone to fix it at their cost.

Three weeks ago we had that problem and they came with 2 cars and 5 people to fix it. They were happy that we called them. As they told me, Thai people don't bother to call...

If the leakage is after the meter (on your ground), Lopburi3 already gave you the procedure

  2. IMHO mourning is a personal feeling and should not be a must.

You can show other people that you are sad in many other ways than wearing black clothes. The most important is the respect you show to Thailand and its people.

Since a few weeks, I wear everyday clothes with a black ribbon. When I go to Lotus, to Makro, to the bank or to any other place where a big pic of HM the King is shown at the entrance, I wai because I respect him.

Wearing "normal" clothes and show respect is a lot better than wearing black clothes and acting like a "Farang Kee Nok".

  3. In 1945, in order to generate income during the war period, the Siam government decided to open an official casino. But the Thais began to neglect work and family to indulge in the game to such an extent that the country's economy was in peril. The government decided to close the casino a few months after the opening.

As a Siam coins collector, I have the chance to own an old casino chip.

You can observe a Phoenix (official emblem of the Thai Ministry of Finance).

and the lettering: สถานกาซิโน = Center Casino and กระทรวงการคลัง = Ministry of Finance.
On the edge of the coin there is a serial number.

  5. A neighbour also used to play loud music.

One day as it as particularly very loud, I went to his house. He was working in the garden behind house and I invite him to follow me to see something in my house.

He came in and we drank a glass water and talked a bit. I didn't say anything about the loud music...

When he went back to his home, he turned the sound down and since then I don't hear his music any more.

I guess he didn't know that it was so loud and disturbing.

I'm pretty sure that if I asked him to turn the sound down he wouldn't have understand why and I would still hear the beats of his speakers.

    RIP.

Another hit and run. One more, and no one will be punished.

Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it, there is no penalty here, for hit and run. In other words, there is no additional penalty for fleeing the scene of a crime.

I would suggest that many Thais seen as causing an accident flee the scene incase they get lynched.

You all surely understand English better than me.

Can one of you show me where they say the car driver fled the scene?

They say " When the driver saw the red light coming, he gassed up instead of slowing down,”. Nobody said he didn't stop after the crash...

    RIP Swedish man :402:

It was an absolute pleasure to have gone there this morning and to have been served once again by very kind and polite staff.

Yes, Hua Hin Immigration is very good.

I always feel lucky to live in the province when I read about problems that other members have when they go to other Immigration offices

So it does not save you from the 4th visit.

Right but the 90 days report is nothing compared to a renewal of the extension.

In my case, the 90 days is reported in Dan Singkohn and the renewal in Hua Hin. Even if it's a pleasure to go to that office, the big difference is 100km...
