  1. You will need to change router APN settings I would think. Being a Chinese router CMNET for Apn is worth a try
  2. You never know what the future holds,I have needed reading glasses for 35 years,5 years ago I no longer needed them, can read AN text fine, but anything beyond 10 metres is now blurry
  3. You will need to change router APN settings I would think.
  4. Just my opinion,I think Toyota have got it right promoting hybrids as the best option for future purchases.
  5. I used the Australian card to keep it from expiring due to lack of transactions. Unfortunately I forgot about this so I no longer have an active Australian card due to lack of useage. To start again must provide AU postal address.
  6. The one time I used my Australian debit card at a Big C checkout,my account was immediately hit with 2 debits from Walmart. Only a couple of bucks each, bank reversed charges, all good
  7. For what it's worth. For 20 years of doing business with Immigration in Bangkok,I have used the western mode for my address, street number, name of road, district, province, zip code. Some 5 years ago my online TM47 was rejected, reason TM30 required. Home owner submitted the report it was accepted but it was in Thai language. Since then all my TM47 reports have not changed from western style and have been accepted. I only came to grief when applying for a certificate of residence,I had to call the owner for the Thai language address details they provided for the TM30
  8. No change unlimited data. Max 35mbps, sometimes 15mbps,down to 4mbps at peak times. I have a poor signal in my area but I can stream live tv and movies.
  9. I minimize my Google exposure wherever possible see my DNS settings below.
  10. I am not in central Bangkok, the signal here is weak but can still stream movies. Download best 35mbps, peak times 4 Mbps and have had one outage in 7 months NT Thunder unlimited sim. The sim has some limitations, users say condo level 5 can be a hight limit, connecting to channel 40 could be an issue,I cannot use it in my Vivo phone because of this reason, but it works in my router and my Huawei phone. Recommend you buy a 200thb version sim to ensure it performs in your home.
  11. And what do you use for data away from home? For data "on my prepaid sim for calls "would run at 699thb per month. So why not have a 2000thb pa second sim for data. I had fibre to the router for several years and had too many outages,so I ditched that method for a second data sim in each of my family members phones. Problem solved we all have unlimited data wherever we go. For home appliances I have a router with an NT 990thb pa unlimited sim. Not very complicated for a retired gent with a wife who chews through 80gbs per month. My total annual costs are still below fixed line fibre without it's limitations
  12. I have used AIS & DTAC 1 years sims with zero problems. I get OTP's and SMS messages from both domestic and international banks OK.
  13. Last resort load AIS PLAY on your computer follow previous information. You can have CH 7 today. If you are comfortable with this format you could buy a simple Android box, install AISPlay from Play station, connect to your network with wifi. For ease of use you can attach a wireless mouse or wireless keyboard. There are other apps that you can load to watch movies
  14. Do you have a smart tv? If so you can download AIS Play app from Play store this will give all Thai free to air channels when you choose TV Live from the drop down menu. Of course you will need internet access
  15. Sorry wishful thinking. As an aged pensioner your payments are not taxed in AUSTRALIA,but when you REMIT them to a Thai bank account then as a Thai tax resident they are tax assessable income.
  16. No . Your Aged pension funds remitted to Thailand will be taxed here if you are a Thai tax resident. The first 150,000 thb (190,000 if you aged 65+) is tax exempt. Then 150,000 (+65 year 110,000)@ 5% Then 200,000@ 10% Then 200,000@15% Then @20%. There could well be challenges to this arrangement, because a lot of Hiso will be out of pocket big time,as well as activists and academics pointing to individuals financial plans having been shredded, etc.
  17. I missed picking up on the +60,000 deduction, can you please clarify what this entailed. Thanks
  18. 2 years ago when I had 2 sims AIS&DTAC I blocked AIS because of the promos. This year got a new phone with 2 AIS sim cards, transfered everything and was getting occasional messages from AIS but no top-up receipt. I sent a sms to my self and it worked OK,that's when I remembered blocking AIS those 2 years ago. So check your blocked calls list.
  19. You should check the Thai number you have listed on your bank account, example; +66 123456789,No 0 after 66. And only 9 digits. I have AIS sim and get sms from Westpac
