  1. Have you seen people working out in there then?

I have joined but they have not told me it is ready yet :o

    TP

i was in airport plaza last week, and saw people working out on cardio equipment....i don't know if everything is ready and they're "fully" open, but at least part of it is.

  2. ^it's on the canal road approx 200 meters before the night safari entrance.

i went there about 3 months ago and had a calzone. not great, but good.

  3. Have to agree ..every restaurant in town should hike its prices by 100%

Kind of like the markup on used books...

correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't the thread starter also recently called for a boycott of another business in chiang mai. who's next on the boycott list?

Ulysses G, how would you feel if someone started organizing a boycott of your business? your 4 stores are certainly hurting smaller book shops in the area, and the markup percentage that you've chosen could be described as excessive.

  4. what's the procedure if you want to cross over to myanmar and you have a single entry non-imm B?

i've heard talk of leaving your passport with the immigration officers at the border, but am thinking it might be a better decision go to the immigration office at the airport and pay 1000 baht for an exit/enter stamp. any insight/experience would be helpful.

btw, IYO is mae sai 'worth it'? some people i know rave about it, but all i can gather is that it's a huge market.

  5. TOT and TT&T are both about the same because they use the same lines. but perhaps someone knows better/different.

i live in hang dong and have TT&T....and most days it works fine.

  6. i don't know if this is the one ^ and ^^ are referring to, but there's one on huay kaew just before amazing sandwich.

there's also another on the canal road going towards hangdong...approx. 2 k after the suthep intersection

  7. San Jose del Cabo has one Thai restaurant (although owned by an American, with a Mexican chef, it's not bad, probably the equivalent of Miguel's here in Chiang Mai, ie a labour of love)

    :o

i've got to disagree with you.

i was in that restaurant approx. 15 months ago, and it was one of the worst meals i've ever had.

    no exaggeration.

miguel's (while not great), is world's better.

  8. Have you stayed at either Kata Delight Villas or Sugarpalms Resort? I'm going down for the long weekend in July, and i need to make a decision this weekend on which place to stay at.

the prices are pretty similar for the rooms we're looking at (deluxe villa at KDV and pool access at SPR). How is the service? food? interior of the rooms? location? etc....

Any personal experiences at either establishment would be most appreciated.

    Cheers.

    :o

  9. i'm not sure if the title and description make it clear, but i am looking for a little box (with a magnetized side) that i can put a spare key into, and then attach to the undercarriage of my car. has anyone seen these in thailand? i've been to a couple of auto shops and come up empty.

    thanks

and no, i'm not going to tell you what kind of car i have and where i usually park! :o

i've got a friend who is a pipe collector.....

are these type of pipes available for sale in chiang mai?

    perhaps the night market?

would it be considered illegal to mail one out of the country?

  11. i took the test in chiang mai about two weeks ago, and there are in fact two tests for color....

the first is the 'dots' mentioned earlier, but there is also a peripheral vision test in which the applicant must state if the colors on the periphery are red, yellow or green.
