Plenty of bacteria in chicken sold in the U.K. according to recent reports.
Campylobacter and it is said to be a serious problem, covered or not, wrapped or not.
Take your pick.

Close thing now between Costas and NancyL
Great competition.

Thankfully I use my credit card at the exchange. No fees and no charges.
I hated the ATM fees and the added % for using a debit card.

I had arranged to meet up with a Thai lady (from a dating site) in the guest house I was staying at.
We did not get out much either. What a hell of a long weekend that was that continued after I moved to her home town.
So many wild women here in Thailand it is incredible. And long may it continue.

Jingthing...... c'mon..... You should lighten up a little. Yes you have been the butt of a few jokes in the Pub, but it was all in fun and nothing serious. No one slagged you off.
Mr Toad has received as much stick as you have and possibly Costas too. No-one hears them complaining.

Plenty of life in some bars that are not charging the earth for a drink (I found the Bamboo prices way too high for what that place is).
We are the World learnt their lesson in that after they upped their prices to 80 Baht a small beer at one point and the place emptied. Now it is back to 55 Baht they are busy most nights.
Triangle bar with 2 for 1 @ 90 Baht is another example along with the bar opposite.
LK metro (for draught beer) is very well priced and expanding.
I suppose it all depends on what you want on a night out. I find most long term stayers are looking for places with better prices.

Someone needs to dole out some swift kicks to the ass's of the police if no investigation has been opened.
Take some of those officers off the vehicle stops and get them to do some proper police work.

Whoever or whatever (toads and such) wins this, some of us, Toad, David48, Costas and myself to name a few have had some great fun over this contest.
Long may the fun in life (and posting) continue !!

After doing a dishounorable thing, at least he saved the courts and the system time and money in the end by doing the honourable thing.

I see Toad of Jingthing Hall is out rousting the serfs to rally to his master's need for votes.
Did no-one drive over that toad yet?

Is frolly somebody going to end the voting on 0 points?
I cannot imagine why that would be.

When people refer to me as a 'dirty' old man, I take it as a complement. I am 72 and having the time of my life here in Thailand.
Keep on rocking!!!
Enjoy it all.

I have to admit I do love those stories from the black hole of Thailand..... Rhek Thum.
Burning rectums and Rhek Thum..... hard choices to be made. Both hot topics in their own ways.
speaking of hot topics..... I'll be unable to post more fun and games for a day or more, I'm off to see the love of my life and no wi-fi, no internet.
don't all cheer at once.

YES!! You can have friends here in Pattaya.
I have a group of friends.
One looked after 2 boxes of my belongings for 9 months while I was away. Nothing tampered with. No cost involved. Hell, he was even grateful and offered to pay me for English tea bags and some other small items I brought over for him.
Another helped me find a cheap condo within 24 hours of my arrival. He also helped me move my gear from the above friends place to the condo I am now in.
^^^ Two simple examples.
We help each other out with all sorts of little things.
One takes a few others to Macro in his truck once a month for their big shop.
I take one friend to Jomtien to do his visa.
These friends tipped me off about what my now ex was doing when I was away - that is why she is staying my ex.
If we have a problem we help each other where we can.
YES, proper friends.

I feel it is sad to go all that way to get a free blanket that would be better given to the needy.
Buy yourself a quilt. Go on, be a devil and splash out some of that cash.
Vote David48 for president.

I like to think that the people of Thaivisa are ready to embrace change.
It seems some Toads are so totally spaced out they are out of their minds croaking for that Jingthing.
Better an Aussie (chokes on that being a good old Brit) than this incessant ranting of toads.
VOTE David 48 for sensible topics.
No offence intended in these posts.
If a fence is taken...... put it back!!

I think a phone call is needed to my friends up north to bring down their torches and nets to search out these toads so my ears stop hearing their manic croaking of Jingthing, Jingthing.
These toads could be sliced, slit and gutted for their incessant ravings
No offence intended in these posts.
If a fence is taken...... put it back!!

Baht Bus. Baht Bus.
Sounds like some sort of manic chant by the unruly mobs pounding through the streets.
On the other hand it could be the croaking of Toads as they follow their Jingthing leader hoping for another topic on Baht Bus, Baht Bus.
Where is the humour in that?
Fire, Fire, burning ring of fire on the farm as MFG (bucket of water in hand) chases the red ring of David48 around the farm.
These types of topic are hilarious.
No offence intended in these posts.

Eat that Toad!!!!
Squash that Toad underfoot.
Toads.... slimy. Maybe better not to eat!! Squash it instead
Vote for someone sensible, do not listen to the dribble from a toad.

My resolutions for next year
in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Posted
And you are talking about what, exactly?
The way this is worded I am stumped at to what you mean. Are you talking about making it from one year to the next or making New Year resolutions?
New Year resolutions - IMHO - a waste of thought and breath.
