It seems to start long before marriage. I think for some guys the main reason to come here is because they can get women to dote on them. I one saw an elderly farang sitting outside a Nana bar whilst one of the bar girls trimmed his ear hair.

Not having had a Thai woman, you won't have encountered their obsession with helping others with their personal grooming.

Away from Pattaya I used to see quite a lot of older Thai men with younger Thai women. Some were 'mia noi'.

I used to see them in Thai restaurants frequented by very few foreigners.

Whatever the reason for these younger women to be hooked up with older guys is, it does happen.

My wife loves her job and the money is good. She is still in her mid 20s so its a good lesson for her.
