Internal flight carrying significant amount of cash
Digitalbanana replied to Woof999's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
Those all sound like pretty sensible reasons and planning. Except the bit about hand carrying 5M THB in cash from Bangkok! -
I often thought the service rates charged to condo unit holders was by the square meter? That's what happens in our condo. Is this written in the condominium act or just accepted as the correct way to cost services? It seems fair to me, but a work colleague of mine said his condo in Bangkok has different rates per square meter depending what floor of the building the unit is on, the higher floors charge more. Curious?

The Investing Year Ahead
Digitalbanana replied to Mike Lister's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
When you see charts of the S&P 500 dating back to the 1920s, they are typically based on a technique known as "backtesting." Backtesting is a method of testing a strategy or index using historical data to see how it would have performed in the past. -

Of course its illegal and common sense. Why even consider the question of getting stopped by law enforcement for something that is illegal?

That's because no one buys CDs anymore either. I had a large collection of vinyl back in my home country but its nothing compared to my current collection in the tens of thousands of tracks on hard disc servers that can be listed to, sorted and played at the touch of a button with any decent database music management software projecting all the album cover work and artist / track synopsis onto screen.

Pink Id card for foreigners
Digitalbanana replied to Enquiry123's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can only speak for yourself. I specifically needed to get my Pink ID card to renew my Thai Driving Lic. Yes, there are other ways to get the DL, but getting the Pink ID card was by far the simplest way for me. -
Why would anyone search for a vinyl record shop? The chances of finding some thing you like would be infinitesimally small since the technology is now superseded?

Your not just paying for calls, but the service infrastructure. It's dirt cheap, less than 10THB / month, so I don't know what the issue is.

Can I get a loan?
Digitalbanana replied to AsparrownamedJack's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Does this not seem a little ridiculous to you? How can the pair of you get a loan on land that is already collateral for another loan? Normally any loan would include a lien of sorts to ensure this nonsense doesn't happen would it not? -

Surprised this news story is not even mentioned on this forum and the fact that very few passenger aircraft use door plugs as they serve no useful purpose only added risk on passenger planes? -

Me neither, but as a stock investor one cannot ignore the fact the markets tend to go higher in election years. -

The stock market has risen in approximately 60-70% of election years, while falling in the remaining 30-40% of years.
