Another Typically Thailand ill-considered, greedy money grab by the same ol' inept nitwits. Different names and faces, same ol' stooges. If you're really so concerned about financial inequality, then open the vast Thailand coffers and lead by example. Eliminate the caste system. Provide gainful employment with livable wages...not "slave labor" wages. And MAN UP and do it from within. Don't do it off the backs of retired foreigners already spending all their hard earned money here. Take responsibility FOR ONCE.

Yeah they're always figuring out a new scam. In Chiang Mai last year, they started contacting after accepting the fare and saying it was too low and would try to negotiate a higher price. I just reported them to GRAB and looked again or used In-Drive where negotiation is expected.

Yep those were exceptionally great times to be alive, but present times are ok too. For those fortunate enough, it's what we make of them. But I appreciate and try to enjoy and make the most every "time", tho it's certainly not always been easy. I've suffered fairly recent tragedy and loss which most here would find unfathomable and unbearable. I certainly did for a couple years and almost didn't survive it, but this is all we've got. One and done. A speck of time on a speck of dust in a incomprehensibly vast natural universe that doesn't give a fig about us. Good post. I hope you are well and wish you all the best.

Friend of mine just got it in USA. Spent over $800USD and it SUCKS. He is so disappointed. There's also no customer service and no one to talk to. Says it's all online and you're on your own. He's just gonna dump it, eat the loss and go back cable Internet/WiFi.
