Trump Bets the White House — and GOP Control of Congress — on Tariffs
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I hope Trump loses his support and becomes a minority government soon. His support group do not impress me either. Maybe a croc will have him for lunch. -
Pattaya Hotels Boom Amid Post-Quake Guest Surge as Hua Hin Falters
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Remember that it is April, one of the hotte4st months in Thailand, the Winter high season is over folks. Only the expats and retired people around the world travel when schools are also back in session. TAT will not do any reminder of these facts for you, either. -
Bangkok Building Collapse Sets Unwanted World Records
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
I am just so happy that I am not a Thai person that has to work in any highrise office tower in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand in a high rise building. My one relative ran 15 floors to get out of her building after she felt the quake. She is working from home now for a while. i hope the building inspectors do a good job looking at her offrice tower. I wish all Thais good luck. -
Trump Starts Global Tariff Wall, Thailand Hit with 36% Tax
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
All of the world leaders have to treat Donald Trump like a pariah. This guy deserves no respect from anyone after this unnecessary tariff fiasco. His VP does not need any respect either, same goes for Elon Musk, in My Opinion. -
I am glad that got back to earth okay. I am glad that Spaxe X is doing okay with its programs. I thought that there are 2 space vehicle at the ISS that in an emergency can used to return the Astronauts or Cosmonauts to earth. With all of Trumps lies, i cannot see many people believing his version of this story. In My opinion anyway

I used to ride my Honda 125CC bike around the Hua Hin area, and every year I see less and less helmets being worn by Thai and Forein riders. I have not sympathy when I read of someone crashing and getting killed, because they did not wear a helmet. My Thai relatives in Bangkok all wear helmets when they take a motorcycle ride in the city. They know that their chances are better, and they can always comb their hair when they are not on the bikes. Good Luck in Thailand, and keep yourself medically insured when you are in the country, it is not cheap to be in a private hospital when you wake up after your crash.

British Expat Finds Bliss in Thai Paradise, Won’t Return Home
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
I wish her luck, and hope she keeps herself medically insured for her stay in Thailand. I think the heat of March and April, and the rainy season may wear on her eventually. If she can stay and make enough money, well good for her. -
Quake Jolts Thai Tourism: Rising Concerns Over Safety
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The building that collapsed was in the dangerous part of its construction, and it would seem that the basic structure was not as strong as it shuld have been to take the sway factor of the earth quake. I am glad that most people were able to get away from the area near the building. The people working inside the building basically had very little warning. In my opinion. -
Trump’s Envoy Dismisses Starmer’s Ukraine Plan as "Posture and Pose"
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Trump cries wolf, about the tarrifs. Trump is also the only president that I know of who has ticked off most leaders of the world, he is also the first one to threaten his neighbours with plans to try take over their countries. Just remember that it was Americans who voted Donald Trump into power as president. I do. -
Sometime in the distant past, there were trees growing in the arctic. I guess the earth was quite warm for that to happen. If we are headed for another hot spell on Earth, I guess we will all have to adapt. quit buying ocean side properties, and we will have to have places like giant green houses to grow food if the nateral fields all fail. It is nice that the scientists can keep us all informed of what the future will look like. Climate Crisis sounds negative, how about we come up with a more positive phrase? Ideas?

Have you ever had a near-death experience (NDE)?
Stargeezr replied to connda's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I had a heart attack on Dec 5th, and if my Sisdter in Law had not given me CPR and the heart surgeon would not have put in a stint, i would be dead, so yes I think that was a near death experience. -
Thailand's Smile Fades: Nation's Global Happiness Rank Falls
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Living in the tropics is one reason some people seem happy. Living in a country with cold Winters, can make other people seem less happy. I think the happiness survey is quite flawed. Some people think they need to be rich to be happy. If we do not get wiped out by a war, or an astroid or comet, we should just be happy to have peace in some parts of the world. IMO of course -
Foreign Shoplifters Wanted After Theft on Koh Phangan
Stargeezr replied to Georgealbert's topic in Koh Samui News
This is likely not the first time that these two low lifes have stolen. I hope they are caught, and will get kicked out of Thailand for being thieves. IMO -
Trump's Sweeping Travel Ban Targets 43 Nations Amid Global Tensions
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I am happy that I will not be going to the USA for at least 4 years. I just hope that Trump is not in power after that. Will we all last that long? I wonder. -
Well it was the American voters of the USA that voted Donald Trump into power, and it will be them that will have to vote him out of power. I hope that they can convince this guy that the way of tarriffs is maybe not the best way to go. Good luck to the rest of the world if Trump, Musk, and Vance continue to lead the USA like this for very long. My Opinion of this sorry situation of course.
-
Can anyone believe Elon Musk now? I never believe any lie that President Donald Trump says so why should I believe this rich jerk? The USA is in bad shape today because of Trump, Musk and VP Vance. These three idiots are damaging the USA. I still remember that it was American voters who elected Donald Trump to be their President, so they are getting what they deserve. I hope the tarrifs sink the USA into an economic depression, then maybe the citisens of USA will get rid of the present leadership of the Republic of the States.

Should I stay ou should I go? (Pattaya, Phuket)
Stargeezr replied to Franck60's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I spent much of my time at Jomtien Beach, Honey House 3, I found that area to be nice a dn quiet and my cousin lives in a condo about 3kms away from the beach. Spent lots of time at the 3 night markets and along the beach in many places. Compared with south, central, and north Pattaya, Jomtien is more family oriented. I spent lots of time in Hua Hin and area as well and even drove a motorcycle around that area. Just have medical coverage at all times. Cost me a lot at a private hospuital when I had my heart attack. Over 370,000 baht to have a stint installed plus 5 days of hospital stay. -
Pattaya Awaits Decision on Fate of Controversial Waterfront Condo
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
A real demolition crew could bring this building with minimal damage to the surrounding structures. I bet less than a dozen of them would get crushed along with this wreck of a building. 555
