Report Israeli Tourist Sparks Outrage Over Shoe Rule Dispute in Thailand
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
A cafe is a public place, so why should she have to take off her shoes? I would not even enter their doorway if they were so fussy. I have refused to go into a couple places because of their local rules that I did not agree with. -
In the 90s when I was there I remember a 3 night weekend with my friend. We started with Patpong area, then we moved over to the Dynasty Hotel and seen Nana and Soi Cowboy in one night, plus there used to be a noisy bar strip near the railway tracks. Those were the days when my liver was in much better shape.

Solar Farm Failures Caused Spains massive Power Cuts
Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yup, cloudy stormy days must affect the solar panels output. Maybe a Nuke power station backup would be a good idea. -
For the liberated people, go where the nudist beaches exist, if you want to display your nudity. Thailand is a Buddhist country and is quite conservative. I like the Thailand people, food and climate which is tropical. I do not like the pollution so try to avoid being in any of the cities for any length of time.

Maha Songkran Splash: Over a Million Revellers Shower Thailand in Cash
Stargeezr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I find the weather much too hot in March and especially April. I like the Loei Khratong Festival much better. Over the Christmas holidays though i found too many tourists around and prefer to holiday in between the festival times to be more enjoyable. When I was in my 30s I did experience a Songkran festival in Pattaya and it was wild and dangerous. -
Tourist Brawl on Phuket’s Bangla Road Sparks Online Outrage - video
Stargeezr replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I took a tour with my Thai family and seen Rawai beach. It was totally developed and we enjoyed a nice dinner there then went back to Phuket city to a guest house for our stay. I am glad that we had a Thai friend drive us around in his 10 passenger Toyota van and he was a cautious driver who did not swerve all over the place and our drive back to Bangkok was enjoyable as well. We stopped into a few places where the restaurant food was great. I still like visiting Thailand and being with my Thai family makes the stay very enjoyable as I have them shop for me and have not been ripped off for my last 4 trips. Rock On Thiland. -

Stargeezr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Hamas is a terroriost group. It has no business being in Gaza and needs to give up its hostages and prisoners. If the Palestine people want to keep Hamas as their leadership, well say good bye to Gaza. In My Opinion. -

I hope Trump loses his support and becomes a minority government soon. His support group do not impress me either. Maybe a croc will have him for lunch.
