This from an ardent Brexiteer ????
As an English Leave voter I have to say that by now we can see who was telling the lies... Doom, gloom, food shortages and disaster they said.
The number on the bus were gross not net, which was a silly mistake and the press/media said it would all go to the NHS nobody else. Fishing has been fudged but should sort out over the 5 year transition. The City can turn there noses up at EU loans so they will have to settle soon. Liz Truss is doing a great job, or didn't the BBC/Guardian report that?.

Is it? I hope not - it is much quicker to type than 'misguided xenophobic isolationist'.
And what does wanting to leave the UK to try to join the EU make you exactly? A Globalist, with British money in his account printed by Scottish Banks that exchanges for less than a US dollar in Asia.
A dreamer is about the politest way I can put it. Face reality, Scotland is being destroyed by Sturgeon, and things will only get worse without hand outs from the Westminster government, funded by English taxpayers. You have maybe got a case of amnesia on our previous exchanges, or possibly something worse that prevents sentinent (Adjective 1. Capable of perceiving by the senses; conscious) reasoning by now.
I hope you get your wish.

Rejoice, it is 6pm not midnight as normal (so it meets up with the stupid everyday laws so you get a longer ban).
Fridge is full anyway and Mom & Pop next door take cash with no till receipt if I run short.

- UDI would be illegal in the eyes of the world and would cause problems long term. I know nobody who sees this as a desirable option while we still have a democratic process to follow.
- Scotland already has a currency and will develop its own to relinquish the need to rely on a pre-independence legacy, especially one with such a troubling future ahead of it.
- Trade agreements are the easiest thing in the world to negotiate and we will hold all the cards ((TM) Brexiteers).
- Passports are not uniquely British in concept, design or manufacture. In fact, I understand that the UK cannot even manufacture their own so government has had to go to a better organised European country to do it for them.
- Debt will be negotiated (assuming that we don't go down the UDI route) and will be reasonable and transparent. But the debt will be to the holders of the bonds, not to rUK, which already has eye-watering levels of debt itself (albeit to the same people). bkkcanuck8 has posted some very good write-ups of debt management and future trade opportunities.
Without UDI how does Sturgeon propose to get a referendum to legitimise it, if she is reelected?
So the Groat will be the Scottish currency I guess as they have no claim on Stirling if they leave the UK without agreement. I guess you think the "Scottish" pound will be seen as legal, but try getting anyone to take a Scottish note now outside of Scotland.
What makes you think the Westminster would let the Scots out without paying their bill? You can't "do a runner" on this one.
We have crossed swords before on this subject and the truth is: Scotland can't afford to leave the UK, will not get a legitimate referendum for 20 years or more and will be ignored by the EU since all it has to offer is its fishing grounds. The EU want The Ukraine to join not a pumped out gas country with a few million Euros worth of herring and a LOT of bad debt..
I do wish the SNP would stop this pie in the sky ideal and start to try and make a success of Scotland not ruin it as they have been doing.
Oh, and the Passports were subject to EU "fair competition" laws when they were ordered, I guess thanks to some Civil Servant <deleted>*. It was Poland that got the job, but it could have been done in the UK.
(*PS. Is "Berxiteer" a forbidden word too?)

I think Sturgeon should declare UDI if she is reelected in May.
That will leave Scotland without a currency, without trade agreements, without passports and heavily in debt to the remainder of the UK.

This isn't rocket science - Chiang Mai has far higher excise returns because CM is bigger. The population of the whole of Lamphun Province is under half of that of just the Chiang Mai metro area.
I do think they have taken the number of people into account in calculating these figures, as poor as their maths normally is.
I suggest you don't apply for a job at NASA any time soon.

What a misleading statement. It doesn't say any age range and Bht 21093 divided by 142 = Bht 148 per bottle of whatever size they want.
Yes that's right, so it means everybody drinks large bottles of imported beer. I don't think so...
Posted by Rooster from Chiang Mai News it must be a local report. In my experience that means it is badly researched and the reporter is hopeless at maths.

An average price between a hotel bar and a supermarket, well that covers both ends of the market pretty much but where can I get a small beer for 29B ?

I think I'll go with the free Chinese jab.
I trust the Chinese have the antidote to what they invented.

Why doesn't anyone trust the Sinovac jab? If you can't trust the virus inventors to make the antidote who can you trust?

Here we go with "foreigners" again. Logically people that normally live in Thailand and were here before the outbreak began in 2019 and have not left and returned should really be in the same boat as any Somchai that has not crossed the border. Foreigners from close and neighbouring countries entering Thailand should be subject to the quarantine rules, as should nationals.
I do not need to be frog marched to a clinic, I can't wait to get the jab and will be happy to pay a fair price too.
Whoever designed this survey was looking for a controversial answer.
Shame on You.

They built a nice park on what was the Meteorological Department land and TTM land has been promised as parkland for 25 years or so. The lake was done some time ago after Queen Sirikit Centre was built and it is pleasing that Bangkok will get another lung at last. A large area of Mackasan SRT land is "city jungle" where it wasn't used for the Airport link, and that could be tamed into a green area too.
Thank Buddha it didn't go the way of another Mall, hotel or condo and since Covid the BMA should stop further development of that kind for the foreseeable future.

Social drinkers: The spread of the virus has only one connection to drinking alcohol, infection by touch or inhalation in a confined space.
It matters not what is consumed, sprite, nam-som or over priced fruit flavoured "graft-beer" made in someone's garage is irrelevant.
The tourist industry is over for the foreseeable future world wide.

For the sake of equality in 2021 shouldn't we be asking each of the partners of the couples (married or not) who has a relationship with an LGBTQ or a "hetro" person outside of the person they live with and if they are the same or a different race/nationality?

The covid 19 rule has been in effect for some time now. That is why you have to get a test to enter the country.
The change to to section 12 of the immigration is for those entering the country for a temporary permit to stay is just a formality to allow immigration to deny entries.
The change to section 44 is only for those with permanent residency since the are not included in section 12.
I did a google translate of the royal gazette this morning read what is said and compared it to the immigration act.
It will have no effect on those staying here on extension of stay or who are already in the country on a visa or visa exempt entry and those with permanent residency.
A definitive answer I believe.
No need to worry thanks to Joe.

Ubonjoe has just commented on this in the immigration forum. He says no change to policy so no test required.
I do wish you had quoted him as I can't find his post.

Thai immigration hot line is 1178. You can also go to the immigration web site and search for your local office and contact details.
Thanks for the advice but my own experience and several earlier posts suggest the Immigration Officers do not know what is going on either. This is a familiar situation that is normal for them, so they tend to make up rules as they feel at the time. I have no objection to a test as long I am not overcharged and it is done honestly, not to fill another space in an isolation hospital at great expense.

I have no idea who Richard Barrow is or what makes him an authority on Thai Immigration.
I would like to know what Ubon Joe thinks about this.
I have an extension due in two weeks so it is important to know quickly what I might need to do.

Problem is, you'll pay more for the good stuff but they'll still give you the Chinese one
I've seen bars do it, putting Laos Khao into empty bottles of Smirnoff
Not sure what's worse..
I can see how they might get away with the former, but Smirnoff is a little different to Lao Khao. I've seen cheaper brands being substituted but not Lao Khao for vodka.

Isn't Chonburi locked down? By the looks of the links the club is missing all its foreign workers who cut the grass too.
Another bright spark in charge of ToT, they should move him to the Ministry of Silly Trousers with the rest of the golf addicts.
