  1. lj cm, as a public service, you could go online and cancel the appointment, then that would free it up for some of the waiting hordes to snap up.

Not me, BTW, my fast fingers managed to book an online slot by 00.02 a few days ago, luckily.

It is not possible to cancel the booking online.

  2. I tried last week to do the online reporting, but it was rejected.

Today I went to the CM Immigration to get it done; and their answer, to my rejected online request was, that my 1 year visa extension runs out next month.

But; they gave me a new 90 days. Logical or not?.

I think you'll find your next report date is not 90 days, but the expiry date of your current extension.

It shouldn't exceed the date of your current permission to stay.

No; my next report date is 27/09/2015 and my extension runs out 21/07/2015.

  3. Today I went to CM Immigration, and cancelled a wrong appointment, I made for 27. July.

She just crossed it out on the schedule, they have on paper.

I doubt, it will be available again online.

Sorry; but to late to edit.

If you would like to have the appointment for 27. July, then go to the office, and ask the girl at Information, if they have a free appointment that day.

If you a lucky, she will look at the "papers" and say: yes; we have a free appointment at 15:30, and you can have it.

    It's worth a try!

  5. First of all; do not convert to CNG/NGV. There are limited refill stations in CM and elsewhere in Thailand. And they always have a long queue out to the road.

It's not the Government that decide, but rather PTT; and I have not seen any new NGV stations for a long time. PTT is actually building LPG stations and some of them even have a 7-11.

I would recommend to convert to LPG and there are refill stations all over (Thailand).

I had all my cars converted at a shop on third ring road.

If you come on Mahidol Rd. on the way to San Kamphaeng; turn right on the third ring road, and the shop is just 500 meter down the road, on the right side.

The last time I checked the price for a "normal" car, it was 27,000 Baht (with a Donut Tank).

Thanks Ij cm, what is the current price of LPG? I believe that LPG is not subsidised as much as it used to be. Has the price not gone up 30/40% in the last year or so?

I agree that there are plenty of LPG stations compared to CNG/NGV. I think the wife is being influenced by friends saying LPG is dangerous, and you cannot park the car in certain malls if you have LPG? Try telling a Thai that there are millions of LPG users in Europe without issue rolleyes.gif I guess all the bad press about LPG in Thailand is due to poor, unqualified, installations:gigglem:

Looks like I will have to tell the other half that LPG is the way to go thumbsup.gif

The price for LPG has gone up from about 12-13 Baht to 16.16 Baht, where it has stayed for more than half a year . The Government's plan is, that the price will be the same as the world market price, but I don't know if were are there yet!.

You will loose about 10% km/l with LPG, but I don't know about NGV. NGV is a little bit more than 1 Baht cheaper. LPG is sold per litre and NGV per kg.

On a side note: CM has some of the highest fuel prices in Thailand. There must be a powerful Cartel controlling it. In the middle of Isan, fuel is cheaper.

It is correct, that in Malls, you can not park inside, if you have a "gas car", but that goes for both LPG and NGV.

I read in Bangkok Post that the installations of LPG (80%} and NGV (20%) have gone down from 8,000 to 2,000 a month due to the cheap gasoline prices. The oil prices are already going up again, and you might get a good offer for conversion, because they are not busy at the moment.

  6. In my experience, native Chiang Mai girls have nice size boobs and many of them nice long legs; although I don't understand, why they not shave them (the legs), but maybe the Thai men don't care!?. On the negative side, some girls show signs of inbreeding; but you cant get it all. Maybe in Bangkok you can!?

The girls at "Falang Entertainment Places" might claim, they are from Chiang Mai, but most of them are not. And it really doesn't matter!.

  8. It has gotten worse; especially the last 2 years. I have lived here for 15 years.

Both the amount of traffic and drivers (bad) behaviour.

I really noticed it; after just coming back from a 2 weeks holiday.

It took me a couple of days to get used to it again.

  9. I have a private pension from Denmark and when I die my (Thai) wife will continue to get the pension.

At that time she has to contact the Danish tax office and get an ID Number and "Tax Card". She also has to open a Danish Bank Account.

It can not be done in advance and obviously I'm not here to do it for her.

Is anyone else in the same situation and what have you told your wife to do?

I wonder if the Danish Embassy would help her!?.

If you prefer to answer in Danish, then just send me a PM.

  10. I have a 15 year old Nissan car; and I had it for 3 years. I don't have the Service Book..

The Nissan Shop wants to change the Oil Filter, every time I bring it for Oil change, at 5,000 km interval.

    Is that really necessary?.

And btw; with todays oil quality, do we really have to change oil every 5,000 km?.

I "google'd" it, and there are many opinions; so I like better to ask TV members.

    What do you do?
