A little bit beside the point; but does anyone remember Don Muang Airport 20 years ago?.
Almost impossible to get out of the Airport. Taxi drivers, Tour agents and touts in general grapping you arms (and legs). You had to fight your way out.

I always look at my stuff goes into the scanner and looking backward (if I am scanned) to see it come out again. Simple!

Nothing is better than Villa I wish there was one in Chiang Mai.
I wish that Food Land was in Chiang Mai, because they have the best Bakery.
I'm afraid, it's not going to happen; because I believe, that the main supermarket chain here in CM, have an "agreement" with both of the above, to stay away!?.

You don't have a relationship, you have an "arrangement". Those can be awesome. Just adjust your expectations and demands. Don't invest too much. Get everything you want. Be prepared to end it when you're not getting what you want. Then you can have a new arrangement with some freshy. Don't give or lend money to your areangement. Don't get into a lease or do anything else permanent. Don't visit her family or talk about her with yours. She's just an arrangent. If she's not pleasing you in bed or pleasant out of bed, trade her in on a model that works. Until then, enjoy.
This is perfectly written.
We should print this post on a cue card, laminate it and keep in our wallet.
So whenever we are in doubt; take it out and read it!.

I use the 7-11 card most of the time. Solves the problem of change.
I just bought the card a month ago; and it certainly makes life easier.
But; I don't understand why it cost 190 Baht. It's just as much a help for them!?.

Yes Thais have a sense of humor if they see an old lady slipping on a banana peel
and fall over and break her back they laugh
Correct; they mainly like Slapstick humour. Just look at their Comedy shows on TV.
Irony and sarcasm are lost on them.
But; when you know it, then don't try it!.

I had not idea about "official" inspection of CNG and LPG tanks; but I bring my system (LPG) for inspection, at the company that installed it, according to the service book, they gave me.
It takes 5 minutes and I agree with 'bazza40', that it's a very superficial check.
At the yearly inspection of my 10+ year old car, they never seem interested in the LPG system.

Why would they take the insulation off a ground cable? The wire does not have to be bare - just attached to unit chassis and a ground point. Or do you mean it was attached without direct metal to metal contact?A Safe-T-Cut is the most important to have.
And then do your own grounding for washing machine, water heater, computer etc.
Our water heater was installed with grounding; they just forgot to take the insulation off the ground cable!!!.
Yes; it was attached with insulation on and without metal to metal contact.

Every evening (after 9PM), it's a challenge to drive in CM.
Some drivers are driving very slow and some are driving very fast. Some are using all the 3 lanes on the Super Highway.
The Police are staying home at the Station, because it's to dangerous to get outside.
I read about the CM accident statistics at Songkran, but I wonder, if it's higher than "normal".

There is absolutely nothing new in this story. It has always been like that.

I also like manual gear.
I believe the car companies only make that "basic" model to show a low "from price". They do that in other countries as well.
But; for the money you save, you can do a lot of after market upgrades: stereo, spoilers, GPS, wheels etc.

Scotch Adhesive Remover from Home Pro works perfect to remove stickers.

I have been there to get spare part for my Nissan NV.
Thanks for the tip. Do they have many NV parts cars there - mine is the later model with the large windows behind the doors.
Looking for a power window setup, as it was an aftermarket add-on I need to find a donor.
I don't know; but maybe.
I was there to get a new lid for the sprinkler system container. The guy went into the building in the back and came out with 5-6 lids, and one of them was a match.
I know a small shop that specializes in repairing window systems. He might have what you need.
It's difficult to explain where it is, but the GPS Coordinates are N 18° 47.917' E099°00.857'. It's about 50 meters after this point down the Soi, in a shop house, on the left side.
I've had my manual system repaired there. He has a lot of used sets, of all types, hanging on the wall.

That must be over by the Burmese immigration building, yes?
Correct; about 300 meter after. Just keep left into the small road running parallel with the highway.

It sounds like good service. Changing the Airbags also sounds impressive for a 12 years old car.

I have been going to Mad Dog the 15 years I've been living in CM.
The Staff and the Owner have always made me feel welcome.
That's it!.

There is a Junk Yard opposite (almost) Promenada. You might find a dash you can use.
If you come on Mahidol Rd. with Promenada on the left side; you make a U-Turn at the traffic light, and then keep left on the small road, about 500-700 meters from the traffic light; it's there. .

They find it very amusing, that a falang come to them.

I have rented car's a number of times here in Thailand.
When you pick up the car, you will be offered a number of add on insurances.
It can be a little bit tricky to find out what you need, and in some cases you are double insured.
Sometimes you were promised that a certain insurance was included in the renting price, but when you get the car, they say it's not.
It's a little bit of a jungle and they are (of cause) interested in selling you all the add on's.
So; just go through it, one by one, and don't let them hurry you.

The Royal Danish Post used DAF with CVT back in the 70's, so they must have been good quality.
The postmen loved, that it could drive just as fast backwards as forwards!.

It's easy to figure out, when the battery needs change.
That is, if the CarCam just turns black (when ignition is turned off), instead of giving the normal blip sound and goodbye screen.
Quite right.
But as I said in my original post the problem with a dead battery is that when you shut off the ignition and the camera goes off it does not save the last video file.
A camera with a dead battery works just fine as long as the ignition is on, but the point of the battery is to give the camera time to shut down and save the last file, which may well be the important one with the accident on it.
If you can't be bothered to replace a dead battery and want the last video clip to be saved, just remember not to turn off the ignition till that clip has finished and the next one started.
Or press the on/off button on the camera.

That sounds very strange. I don't have that problem. Both camera and GPS works perfect.
