  1. No sign so far that the new PM is anything other than an establishment mouthpiece.
  2. It may be entirely wrong but I was told by a Thai lawyer some years ago that pensions were not taxed in Thailand.
  3. There are way too many people worlwide. Better to find a more sophisticated way to raise government revenue than the tax system which is applied jn most countries today.
  4. I sense brown envelopes being part of the cost of renovation.
  5. Very difficult to judge. Might be ok but, on balance, probably not. Anyway, in this case I wonder if the article is genuine.
  6. Barefaced cheek, given what Pheu Thai have been up to.
  7. Ridiculous. Just legalize smoking cannabis recreationally, not only medically, and thereby reduce the gang element and get the police working on more important matters such as murder, thieving and extortion.
  8. The new PM is a pawn amongst some much more powerful players in the political game. Anutin, for one, is dictating policies that suit his own interests. There are many others doing the same.
  9. Ridiculous headline, ludicrous statement from Kang. This is a continuation of the previous Thai govt aiding and abetting the Chinese takeover of the Thai economy and institutions. Money moving under the table in all directions. Thailand is becoming a Chinese colony. Very sad.
  10. Corruption exists world-wide with the exception, by and large, of Scandinavia.
  11. Good point, given that two of the most addictive products, cigarettes and alcohol, are freely available in most parts of the world.
  12. ..and from whom do you think they acquire their products ?
  13. Rest in peace little one. The cruelty inflicted on you is beyond belief.
  14. Yes indeed. It will be interesting to see how the new govt handles the scheduled dissolution of the current senate next May.
  15. The current 'senators' should be out of office when their tenure expires next May. However, it remains to be seen if that actually happens...
  16. Given the lying and treachery which have followed the election MFP are best off staying right out of it, and leading the opposition. They will likely win big at the next election.
  17. Oh dear. That's not what the fuss us about. If you don't contribute a slice of the action to the authorities you get closed down.
  18. Strange article. MFP should steer well clear of this shameful farce. Their public support will increase if they do not become involved, and their time will come at the next election.
  19. All going as planned as some of us have been forecasting ever since the election resuit was announced. Very sad, but things will change, one day..
  20. Some people are saying he's virtually got the job already, incredible as it may seem.
  21. The best thing the MFP/Pita can do is to go into opposition mode, and wait. Their time will come, hopefully at the next election. By then it seems likely their popular support will be overwhelming, given the treachery and lies of PT, the 'senate', and the 'uncles' now being witnessed.
  22. Why not move them now ? Never too late.
  23. You appear to be unaware that Pheu Thai's treachery and lying will result in a government led by Prawit, with Prayut and Anutin still involved. Just what the vast majority of Thais voted against.
  24. Best to MFP to have nothing to do with current smoke and mirrors, go into opposition, and wait. Their day will come, at the latest at the time of the next general election.
  25. Cannot allow any scandal to be revealed about Thailand's next PM.....
