There are socialist elements in the NHS, the Police, the civil service and in iocal government who hate the UK and want to bring it down. The way the ambulance service is being run is just a tip if the iceberg.

Cannabis has always been available in Thailand, enjoyed by many both rich and less rich tourists, and by many locals. What's all the fuss about ?

Never had any problems of this nature with VFS who are efficient and helpful, and have never retained my passport. I suspect you will get a response after the current holidays.

Best to follow the rules however smart you think you are.

Probably good to give your liver and kidneys a break for a while.

What's in it for Chuwit to be publicizing this sort of thing?
1. To keep his name in the news?
2. Because he cares about public morality?
3. Because he wasn't cut in?
4. Because he despises the RTP and wants to show he's justified?
5. Because his constant theme is that the country runs on corruption and this is the latest prime example?
6. Because in his old age he's a joy killer?
7. He dislikes the power and influence of Chinese entrepreneurs?
I'll go for number 5 above.

Covid numbers world-wide are totally unreliable, being either under-reported or over-reported in many countries. Impossible to know what's really going on.

Lived and worked in many countries. Taking all aspects into account Thailand is the best place to be in my opinion.

Sadly the days are long gone when Immigration, the Banks etc. would come to your house in these circumstances.

Can't really see why the media is calling ths a shambles. The organization/security at many big matches in Europe is also far from perfect.

Stop manipulting iw ould say.... The THB can't be strong as there are too many negative factors.... 10 days ago 37.5 for a euro now 36.4.. It is not good fot tourism, Thauland will be too expensive..Rising prices, double pricing for foreigners, higher inflation than expected a censure debat coming up, and bad economical figures..... and still the THB moves in the wrong direction..
Upwards manipulation of the baht has mostly been the norm here in order to assist the elites with their overseas investments in property etc. However they got badly caught out in the 1997/8 crash, but I doubt they will allow that to happen again. I seem to remember getting 70 baht plus to the UK pound around that time.
Happy days !

In over 40 years of working, and later living in retirement, in Thailand I have never been asked for any form of 'legalisation' of my UK passport/passports. However, I married my Thai wife in Taiwan and had the marriage certificate approved and stamped by the Thai embassy in Hong Kong, which was accepted in Thailand by the Thai immigration authority when applying for an annual extension based on marriage. The validity of my UK passport has never once been questioned during these procedures.

Interesting comments on Boris Johnson, much the same as those made by Vladimir Putin. On a more serious subject, very sad to see you confess to being a Spurs supporter. Oh dear.....

No excuse for theft but in this case it appears the house owners have been totally negligent.

As a retiree I am happy to maintain 800k in the bank, and pay 1900 baht once a year for a retirement extension. Why would I want to pay more ?

Always used the 800k route for retirement extension. Have never used an agent in over 35 years, have never ever had any hassle.

You might want to ask Prince Andrew about that but, again, she helped groom Ms Guifrye for Epstein. Epstein later arranged for the Prince and the young lady to have a little fling.
No evidence nor proof of this whatsoever, meantime Ghislaine Maxwell faces 20 years plus in jail after a farcical trial. Hardly surprising Andrew was advised not to go anywhere near an American court.

6-8 hours ? Not in my case for nearly 40 years. In Sathorn previously and now Chaengwattana my applications, without an appointment, have never taken more than 4 hours, usually much less.

A few of y'all need to unplug from MSM.
Thailand & China together ... how would that ever be a bad thing.
... Make enemies with the worlds #1 manufacturing country ????
... Top tech and producer of alternative energy components for home
and vehicles. Compare prices here for solar & EVs to your home country.
... Top supplier of raw materials so Taiwan can make all those components, chips that keep the world functioning.
Without China the cost of everything would be way beyond what you are all crying about now.
Naive beyond belief. You really need to get a grip on what the CPC is up to.

If reports are true, plenty of people have had weed “planted” on them during roadside checks, then had huge fines placed upon them. What about this scenario ?
This doesn't make sense.

Well they won't stick with him so, sooner or later, we will find out how much of a gift.

Yes, not the best destination for the OP given the tone of his comments. Problem for him is most immigration authorities around the world can be awkward to say the least.
