  1. Give her a chance. You can vote her out in 2 years time max if you so choose. Puppet Prayut will not be so easy to get rid of.
  2. I used to go to Samui with my Thai girlfriend, now wife, in the 1970s. Absolutely gorgeous. We would hire hammocks on the beaches for 20 baht a night. No cars, very few people. I will never go back.
  3. Singapore not at all boring if you know where to go. Regarding Bangkok and surrounding areas parts of Thonburi are still quite old style and interesting.
  4. I once paid 3k baht for a Seiko, otherwise never more than 100 baht for a made in China timepiece, hence concerns about breakdowns, etc not an issue. Never understood why people pay so much for so little. Likewise gold chain wearers and the like.
  5. Hopefully not. Killing and eating animals is disgusting.
  6. I thought it was his grandaughter's wedding. Anyway, Biden is the US President. It's a pity he's not coming. Another win for Xi and for China.
  7. Happens all over Thailand and in many other countries. Too many people driving too many cars. It will only get worse.
  8. You will find a number of people will be only too happy to take your used battery, including your refuse disposal operatives.
  9. Go to an ATM, transfer the money from your a/c number to the dealer's a/c number, take your receipt from the ATM.
  10. If she's the girl in the 'photo she looks much older than 10 years of age.
  11. The UK govt has just 2 years to improve things, at which point the voters will have their say.
  12. Current regulations are sensible. Leave them be in my opinion. Those trying to undermine them are either the usual busy-bodies, or are those who have missed out on a business involvement.
  13. The biggest business in Thailand by far. It will never go away. Should have been legalised years ago. Harsh treatment of addicts never works. An effort, at least, should be made to rehabilitate them.
  14. Everything regarding your circumstances suggests to me that you should go for a retirement visa. Annual extensions less complicated than applying with a marriage visa. No need to use an agent unless you are not mobile for any reason, or will be living a long way from an immigration office.
  15. Yes, it's a walled garden where we safely look after the animals who have joined us over the years.
  16. Yes indeed. Way too many people in Thailand, and in the world. When I was born the world population was 2 billion, now 8 billion. Before long all wild life will be gone, and humans will be fighting over limited resources. No one wants to talk about this, but they endlessly discuss climate change.
