  1. No idea why guys like this head for Thailand. The RTP seem to be able to pick them up with ease if requested/incentivised to do so.
  2. Very sad. This seriously demented psycho should have been permanently confined to a mental institution.
  3. Not sure about that. The RTP seem pretty good at apprehending foreign criminals if asked/incentivised to do so by the criminal's home country.
  4. Thirty thousand baht is a brazen and ridiculous amount to ask for. If this is a genuine posting I'd run a mile if I was you.
  5. Taiwan people are the most friendly to be found anywhere. Thais less so but they are, nevertheless, amiable and, mostly, fun to know. I have not had your experience on the SkyTrain in Bangkok.
  6. Clearly time to get into the medical prescription business in Thailand.
  7. A totally ridiculous police statement pretending that the police are trying to make bars safer. The reason they are raiding bars is that they are seeking pay-offs. These raids will frighten foreigners away rather than encourage them to visit.
  8. Not bullying in the physical sense, but disgusting behaviour nonetheless. I doubt he would do this in his own country.
  9. No man should ever beat a woman like this. Sadly I doubt he will ever face justice.
  10. Back to the country where she received her degree, in International Hotel Management, at Surrey University in Guildford.
  11. Thaksin entirely to blame, his sister to pay the penalty. Yingluck should stay well away from Thailand, probably for ever.
  12. The two pitbulls should either have been confined, or leashed if outside. Entirely the owner's responsibility.
  13. Your personal background has no relevance to this case. The fact is that kicking and swearing at people is not acceptable in any country. Thuggish behaviour deserving judicial punishment. I would have thought a year behind bars would have been more appropriate. Behaviour like this reflects badly on all of us.
  14. He was not 'spoken to by one who cannot be named', but even if your comment was correct it does not account for the innocent people killed.
  15. No idea what you're talking about. Was this response intended for someone else ?
  16. Entirely agree. Went on a cruise around the Mediterranean many years ago. Experienced claustrophobia within minutes, and soon after realised I would be unable to avoid people I would rather not know. Loathed every minute. Never again !
  17. The gall of this guy ! Thaksin has yet to be called to account for the thousands of people killed in his 'war on drugs' during his tenure as PM, the majority of whom were entirely innocent.
  18. All rather pathetic. The police 'team' would be better employed solving crimes such as murder, rape and theft.
  19. The Thai baht is permanently over-valued. This has lead to several financial disasters, most notably the crash of 1997/8. Those Thais in a position of power/privilege invest heavily overseas, especially in property, for which purpose the higher the value of the baht the better.
  20. Extraordinary comment. Are you really 'sure he is a pothead idiot' ? He might be, inter-alia, a drunken idiot, an ecstasy idiot, a cocaine idiot, a meth idiot,or just an idiot.
