  1. Terrible shame and a sad loss. Speeding the cause as usual!
  2. It looks like they didn't have the experienced doctors to hand nor the people who had the necessary authority in such medical matters to make decisions due to the Songkran holidays
  3. What part of " she developed sepsis don't you understand? "
  4. I think that is now the least of her problems, although I do get the sarcasm.
  5. One of the joys of being young, footloose and fancy free. However, when I see Thai women in the pubs in the UK wearing open backed dresses and showing full back tattoos off, Ii hardly conjures up thoughts that their partner met them whilst they were working as a flight attendant or that they met them in a bank or a high class hotel in Thailand.
  6. If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
  7. majority of the public are either ill informed, misinformed or idiots that believe everything they hear in the village, which is usually wrong!
  8. If I was to show articles like these to people in the UK, they would just look at me like I was a complete idiot. Never ever seen such a ' rotten to the core ' alleged legitimate Police force where the majority don't even know the law or how to apply it. The whole system needs scrapping and starting again from scratch. Corruption starts at the highest levels of government and law and order and filters right down to the fruit sellers in the streets.
  9. Makes me wonder who conducts, decides and makes these awards. Mind you, it's Thailand, you can make anything up.
  10. Quite possible at aged 93, the old woman's marbles have gone! However, the sad state of affairs is how these people live, dream and sleep lottery. It's a constant topic in my village and every Thai I know up here is addicted to both the legal and the illegal lotteries. It's either the lottery, ganja growing, or ' do I want to buy some land ' ( because they are all chasing commissions) and a good sprinkling of talking about their neighbors behind their backs! Not many have the same enthusiasm for seeking gainful employment.!
  11. To be replaced by another one very quickly.
  12. They closed their eyes and ears and were oblivious to common sense as soon as the daft salaries of 100,000 baht to 150,000 for cleaning rooms was mentioned. Imagine in a country of approximately 1.3 billion people, they can't find local hotel maids! Stupid is what stupid does and you just can't educate Pork!
  13. Well, come on!............. how can the Aussies call anybody a criminal.......????
  14. This is a classic case simply of ' Words fail me! ' as to the pittance they have handed over to this poor kids family and all the other kids families who were injured. This shows the sheer contempt they have for the average family in this country. The boys life and dreams are gone, his family and their hopes for his future with career etc all gone! And the monetary value placed on him is 235,000 baht.
  15. He must have been residing continuously in the UK for the last two years to claim PIPS.
  16. Yeah, A right ' tough guy ' who obviously has an overly inflated ego, a pea sized brain and just an as*wipe! This is what happens when you drink on an empty head! As if a young twenty year old girl would behave as he claims in a busy restaurant in full view and him sat with a table full of people!
  17. Why do they bother these Thai kids trying to be smart or pull the wool over people eyes? They are not even good at it and crumble as soon as an authority figure puts the slightest pressure on them. Silly <deleted>, if he didn't have enough cash for a restaurant, go eat a bowl of noodles and take a small bottle of Regency with you.
  18. Which accounts for why 99.9% of Thais want their plates blurred out!
  19. I did it two weeks ago at Kalasin. No fee, but I arrived near lunchtime so it took two hours!
  20. We never cook in the house and never have. The extractor hood still has the plastic on from when it was originally installed years ago. The kitchen remains unused except for the microwave and kettle. All our food is prepared outside on a BBQ with oven. I have also found with not cooking food in the house, we never get vermin, although we live in a rural area. A tragedy for the firemen, the school and more importantly the little boy and his family. RIP.
  21. What no fingers pointing or giant whiteboard to outline the facts of the case? Just masks to cover their ugly corrupt faces! They mete out corruption and cheat on a daily basis then cry foul when the same treatment is handed out to them!
  22. They don't have to be Chinese owned, they just make and agree contracts with them. One time you stay there and rhe next time you visit, the place has totally changed and involved on the accommodation side with agents doing zero dollar tours!
  23. Don't know why somebody posts a confused emoji. My statement was crystal clear
