Who's going to the Philippines then?
ChumpChange replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Not familiar with that fine establishment, but sounds like ignorance is bliss on that one. Another thing that gets me though is how so many decent sit down restaurants there are modeled after American looking fast food joints. Even down to the cheap looking signage. It’s sad how the worst elements of Americana culture has had such a pronounced effect on the country. -
I was bored out of my mind in Pattaya
ChumpChange replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
OMG, thank goodness for needs mopped, right? Who would ever want to go to that awful place Pattaya on the sea with nice hotels, restaurants, big malls, girls, bars, weed shops, etc. I mean who wouldn’t rather mop dirty floors for hours upon end instead? Oh, wait, I got a better idea, let’s get on the filthy Manila Metro late at night and pace up and down the subway cars like a nutter. Even more fun, right??? -

That's what I thought, you've been sniffing too many of those cheap floor cleaning chemicals at the hospital again. It's a strange fetish of yours that provides you a way of getting high without resorting to harder drugs, so I'm not going to condemn you for it, even if you are just a glorified glue sniffer, but the cognitive damage it is causing you is very pronounced. It's leading to all kinds of bizarre misinterpretations on reality. Maybe you should stick to what you know best. I'll see if I can get you a job mopping the floors in the Manila Metro. Then you will think you've died and gone to heaven. -

Well, since the OP is viewed as a "farang ki nok" by many, perhaps their isn't much difference between the OP and all the disgusting pigeon poo as a result of the Chinese feeding those filthy rodents in all the big tourist cities of the world. -

I label many of them as disenfranchised vandals blaming a system for their own problems and personal shortcomings. Now you can deface a building just for fun, get lots of attention, say that it was in the name of some newfangled dystopian cause and be given a pass, even praised by some others. Blocking roads, destroying art, defacing public property and other things that people hold in high regards, is all just a pathetic excuse for harming the lives of other innocent citizens who aren't to blame for the other person's problems. -

I was exactly the same. I was thinking Pinball Wizard, rock operas, and all that. Then I thought, wait, must be something else, maybe even something more important, but then turns out to be another pathetic cult figure. Just another Jim Jones type trying to get people to drink the koolaid. Hey let's have a thread next about the wonders of Margarine Toilet Grime and QAnon. -

Brilliant, yeah, let's have this cheese diick Tommy and Alex Jones both come over to the LOS at the same time and conduct a "getting a leg over tour" together. Maybe Bojo will join in too as their mascot if you tell him it will be a piss up with free booze, No. 10 style! -

The only difference between this git and the likes of other similar figures like Russel Brand, Andrew Tate, Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Rudy Giuliani, and other pieces of nasty work of their ilk is that this guy seems to have been held somewhat accountable thus far.- 413 replies

Sounds like a real stand up geezer. Probably a Trump fan and vice versa. No shortage of these wastes of humanity around these days: Tommy Robinson, born Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is a controversial far-right activist in the UK known for founding the English Defence League (EDL), an organization often criticized for promoting Islamophobia and inciting violence. His criminal record includes convictions for fraud, assault, and contempt of court, the latter of which resulted in multiple prison sentences. Robinson's rhetoric and actions have been widely condemned for fostering division and hatred, leading to his social media bans and legal troubles. His activities and statements have drawn criticism from various quarters, including human rights organizations and political figures, for contributing to societal tensions and promoting extremist views. -

Who's going to the Philippines then?

And why so many old, alcoholic expats reside in certain places in Thailand, like Pattaya, because there they face no social pressure to give up their alcoholism. There they are welcomed with a smile and offered a bar stool and a cold beer as long as their wallet is pried open. Never any social stigma or pressure from anyone around them that they stop drinking so heavily as they are amongst a flock of the same. They just keep going on ordering the next drink and everyone always just welcomes their business, even praises them for being a good customer, the more they drink and spend. Up2U is the only approach. -

Sex is a pleasure. Drinking is not. (anyone who leaves a confused or sad face on the above point is sad and confused themselves) -

Such a sad state of affairs (at any age) when a man loses his sex drive and his canon no longer fires. -

Jollibee! One of their many disgusting takes on Western food. Their spaghetti with some variant of ketchup on it posing as spaghetti sauce is just one example of the many Filipino style Western food disasters. -

You're joking about the immigration forms right? Every immigration form in Thailand is in English: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/downloads_en/ You can also download instructions for all the forms in English too. Example: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/tm47online-manual/ And the IOs in Thailand speak English too. -

Not rubbish. I was referencing the requirement in order to get a retirement visa at age 35+ https://visaguide.world/retirement-visa/philippines/ What’s really rubbish is their local cuisine like chicken adobo and all the other awful Philippino food they eat over there. -

instead, shouldn't you be working on your next frivolous, whinging and moaning post of drivel to further slack off Thailand and Thai people? Lucky for you Thailand doesn't have a rule that you can't act like a twaat while living in the country or you would have been shown the door long ago. -

Many of the foreigners living in Thailand aren't fit to do anything other than 500ml curls and somehow they managed to end up in the hub of moaning expats. -

Sorry, I see no direction to your post, but my point was that it is safer in Thailand for a foreigner (who doesn't cause any problems) than it is in the Philippines because of a higher level of violent crime and robberies in PI. Nobody will argue that.
