My attempt to open a fixed deposit a/c was rejected as I was informed it was only available to Thai citizens. The online e app asks for details of the Thai ID card. So I would like to know how you did it. -

Yes, TM30 needs a fresh application if you have left the country, even for a short visa run. I was fined 1600B in 2022 for doing so.

Have you tried the Thai Embassy in London? I found it a nightmare applying online. Gave up and entered Visa Exempt. Then with a local agency obtained a retirement one year visa. -

This comment has been broadcast repeatedly by many over the last two decades. When driving licenses are earned through proper efficiency tested on public roads, not via a Test Center system and generous donations we may see an improvement in safety and courtesy on the roads.
