    Minister Anutin had earlier voiced his concern that the Phuket Governor was attending a Fair in Berlin when there were 'issues' in Phuket which required his presence. I assume therefore that the Governor instructed his deputy to take care of this particular problem.

    A woman in Lopburi was attacked from behind by a macaque and required hospital treatment. She has filed a report with local police to back a claim on Government for medical compensation. This was reported in a newspaper yesterday. It is well known that the monkey population in Lopburi is out of control and causing problems for residents.

    This old chestnut again. The illegal structures have been there for decades as have those in Pattaya, Phuket and elsewhere. Locals are not concerned they just accept that's the way it is. No local politicians are going take action to remove them because they themselves are beneficiaries.
