  1. Google's no help. Suggests it was a Canadian singer who went down on the Titanic.
  2. He's moved the pieces on the board while no one is looking. Yet the new Justice Minister doesn't get to oversee the DSI......🫢
  3. The scooter girl never made it. She was involved in a vehicle collision. No helmet. One of the Minister's ready-mix concrete trucks delivered the drinks.
  4. What IS a Celine handbag?
  5. But convenient if the food has caused 'Dehli Belly'
  6. Stick to 'light ale' and avoid heavy. Leave that brew to the Scots.
  7. I am unable to open the link to the original repirt. Is there an indication as to which company was awarded a 9 million baht contract to destroy the drugs?
  8. Other nearby islands include the unfortunately named Ko Dung and Ko Muk.......
  9. The visitors walked and crawled through the maze of narrow passages. The tour guides took the regular route on their bicycles.
  10. They played Handel's Water Music.......
  11. If an incoming passenger is denied entry it becomes an airline problem, i think, which is why airlines want to see an appropriate entry visa or better, a return ticket.
  12. Presumably he has renewed his Passport at least once in that period?
  13. Exactly. Many incoming pax throw away their Boarding Pass because it has served its purpose. It is incumbent on Thai Immigration to advertise the fact that a BP is required to be shown during entry by air. World wide Thai Consulates should have a visible banner on their websites. I suspect the reason for IOs wanting to see the BP is to record which airline was the carrier for some 'commercial' reason.
  14. The reason the Immigration boss says a Boarding Pass expedites the entry is because they want to see it. Never mind the reason why. When an IO asks a passenger for a BP and they fumble to locate it or worse, have thrown it away, it holds up the queue. Incoming passengers need to understand the BP should be retained and put in their PP when they present it to the IO.
  15. In keeping with Government nett-zero policy.😀
  16. Thanks for explaining that.🫡.We have one in London you can have as a replacement.
  17. I will check with an ex DPM and get back to you on that.
  18. A report that I read said the track is inspected at 0400 daily before the first scheduled run. The implication was that a crane working in the vicinity of the failure had caused dirt to fall onto the conductor 'rail'. The first scheduled train must have hit the obstruction and ripped the 'rail' out. 🤔
  19. I read another report of this on Monday morning when details were sketchy. Then it became clear that some three kilometres of aluminium conductor strip had fallen which I found extraordinary. This 'rail' is around 100 x 50 mm in section and appears to be the electrical power supply to the train via a 'pickup' or 'wiper'. Regardless of what supposedly caused it to detach at a single point why did so many other othe attachment points on adjacent piers fail? How is the conductor secured?
  20. The missing female foreign tourist and the missing female Thai crewmember are from another boat capsize mentioned in the same article. Regardless, it's the standard of reporting and/or translation from Thai which forever confuses.
  21. From the linked report: Police will be investigating the cause of this capsize. That will be the Marine Engineering Division of the RTP?
  22. I was also wondering that before deciding this boat is restricted to dead calm sea trips only. 😀
