He owned and operated brothels. That's like Al Capone ratting on Bugsy Malone -
I agree completely. Personally I found it disconcerning in 2014 when the Navy started patrolling the streets. It amazed me how many farang on this site supported what was happening. A big chunk of them changed their minds about the Greens being in charge when the income letter scam from their embassies was stopped.

What a terrible tragedy. Makes one wonder how many of the large & small buildings in these poor countries are fire traps. R.I.P. -

Happening in many places. In Vancouver Chinese nationals were/are laundering money through casinos. Their purchasing of real estate has completely distorted the market.

There're not saying but by my standard and having traveled to most areas I'd peg the poor at >60% -

Can Thailand afford to raise minimum wage to 600 baht?

Can Thailand afford to raise minimum wage to 600 baht?
pegman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Easy solution. Change the law to allow employers of illegals to be criminally charged. Then put the Big Joke in charge of rounding them up. I remember after the last coup the Greens announced their plans to do something similar. Within a week all the migrants had left the country. High-rises in my neighbourhood under construction we're completely deserted. It took some powerful interest to get them to change course and months before all the migrant construction workers came back. -

So same/same as about 85% of that senate -
Seems to me the "Royal Household" take direction from the tabloids. Is there a bigger cancel culture institution than this clownshow? If you've been in combat you're not allowed to wear a uniform but Princess Anne is. Thankyou for your service, 555. Any true comparisons between personal lives would leave Charles the one disqualified from holding any titles. Well maybe King Tampon. I think I'm ready to give this lot the boot and have my country become a republic.

Private sector against Pheu Thai’s 600-baht minimum wage proposal
pegman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Those things happen because of crooked politicians taking down trade barriers and tariffs for a fee from the multi-national business community. You must be disappointed that you missed out on the days of slavery. Although it's still happening on fishing boats working out of Thailand so that must warm your heart. -
Private sector against Pheu Thai’s 600-baht minimum wage proposal
pegman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
$1.30hr. I was making more than that working a summer job as a kid 50+ years ago. Minimum wage where I am from has gone up more than 10 fold since then. Growing wages leads to capital investment which strengthens a country's economy. -

Red Bull case: Former senior prosecutor discharged from service

I think the Thai Rath reporting that Interpol Red Notices have been in place for years is very suspect.
