In the case I was discussing, she already flipped in 2020 when she joined Biden. Nothing specific to this election. Fake MAGA outrage! 😀 -

She flip-floped already when she joined Biden and his platform, and she is VP of a government which has expanded fracking. Nothing new there, a nothing burger! 😀 -

The global economic context has drastically changed, in particular re. energy. Banning fracking would have significant negative consequences on the energy market. And she is part of a government which expanded fracking (under some conditions), so nothing new or specific to this election.. Same policy as ever since Obama started it. -

Nice to see you consider the BBC as an impartial observer! 😅 She's being pragmatic. The global economic context is different than it was when she said that. Isn't it a quality for a President to be pragmatic? -

Rising Political Extremism in East Germany Signals a Deepening Divide

I'm going to be more direct than RayC: that's complete B.S.! 😁 -
You are right but it's not that simple. It's not only about tax revenues, but also what services are provided for it. France and Nordic countries have higher taxes, but also finance a significant re-distribution of revenues, I.e. free/cheap education, health, public transport portation, etc.. They don't just take the money.

No, it cannot make treaties on anything really significant (i.e. not a trade deal), as it is a EU prerogative. It can only be symbolic, such as developing cooperation, blah blah... However, defense and security not being a EU prerogative, it can develop any relation it wants with UK on these matters, as France already does.

It seems you are not informed about this subject. The Nord Stream 2 pipeline never entered service before the sabotage, and deliveries through Nord Stream 1 were already stopped at that time. Actually, the B pipeline of Nord Stream 2 could still be used, but Germany is banning direct gas imports from Russia. So it was not the cause of the huge price increase.

I 'm not particularly defending Germany. It was a strategic mistake to depend so much on one source of energy, and in particular from Russia. They saw it coming. However, on the positive side, its debt ratio is still around half of other large European countries's ratio (incl. UK), and It's still rated AAA.

Your pal Cameroni just explained why Germany failed. Fact is that by your own criteai of comparison, and by the data you picked up on a Brexiteer website, the UK was performing much better than Germany before the referendum than after the referendum. And at that time, there was no crisis in Germany. Again, picking up only one quarter is meaningless, I.e. last year, UK had been in recession during two quarters. There are always short-term fluctuations.
