Majority of Americans concerned about Biden’s mental health: new poll
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
Much better on video! ???? ‘Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.’ | Morning Joe | MSNBC -
Actually, It's bit more complex, as it was a Boer settlers' government. So Boer and European settlers stole it from the original black natives' natural assets, the Boer government bought it and gave it to the King as a reward for granting them self-rule in exploiting the country and oppressing the original black population. The current SA having both a Boer and black African heritage, It's a bit complex to disentangle.

*Deleted post edited out* Alleged criminality is a lame argument. As shown in my post (and posts from others too), the violent crime rate for immigrants (legal or not), is lower than for people born in the U.S. Immigrants are actually increasing the share of good people in the population. As about your last comparison, you are confusing between settlers and immigrants. It's the settlers who took the land, oppressed and slaughtered the original American native population, starting with the pilgrim fathers. The current immigrants don't want to steal the land from the current inhabitants, don't want to impose their own rule and government, etc...

Sweden election: Gang shootings cast shadow over vote

Kind of disrespectful comparison for Sweden, it seems! -

Tell it also to the other posters who referred to the issues met by Hungary in their posts. -
Sweden election: Gang shootings cast shadow over vote

The two quotes were included in the post by Stevenl, to which I replied. They have in common that: - they obviously refer to the case of Hungary. It's you who introduced Hungary in the debate, - they also insinuate that Hungary was punished because of its policy towards immigration, and not because of its restrictions to the independence of the judiciary and the media. This is a claim only made by Brexiteers (when the posters are British, of course). -

How stupid these Chinese people were! They didn't know Joe Biden was not holding any official position any more! Dumber than dumb! ???? "Chinese energy company CEFC paid first son Hunter Biden and first brother Jim Biden $4.8 million in 2017 and 2018, according to the Washington Post." (The NYPost now citing generally censored left-wing MSM ????) You can also check it in the (generally censored ????) article cited: "The Post did not find evidence that Joe Biden personally benefited from or knew details about the transactions with CEFC, which took place after he had left the vice presidency and before he announced his intentions to run for the White House in 2020." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/03/30/hunter-biden-china-laptop/ As about "opacity" ????, "Hunter Biden’s financial arrangement with CEFC China Energy have been previously reported and were included in a Republican-led Senate report from 2020." And that's how Biden's DOJ and the deep state have been protecting Hunter: ???? "Hunter Biden’s overseas work has been the subject of heightened scrutiny. He has been under federal investigation as part of an inquiry into his taxes, with witnesses called before a grand jury as recently as last month".

Durham Inquiry Appears to Wind Down as Grand Jury Expires
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
The Russia investigation was not particularly targeting Trump. The Russian interference has been comfirmed and some people have been convicted (and pardoned by Trump for some of them). https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/breakdown-indictments-cases-muellers-probe/story?id=61219489 A cost–benefit analysis of the investigation shows a net benefit for the government, with far more income than expenses. By December 2018, the investigation had cost approximately $32 million[149] but gained approximately $48 million. More than half of the cost of the investigation was for personnel compensation and benefits. The gains were accrued primarily by uncovering unpaid taxes by targets in the investigation, seizing assets, and collecting fines https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Counsel_investigation_(2017–2019)#:~:text=Paul Manafort%2C former Trump campaign, former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovich. -
Lancet Commission on COVID-19 response: 'Massive global failure'

It's rather that some people didn't care that other people would die needlessly, as long as they thought they could score political points. -
Hungary can ‘no longer be considered a full democracy,’ says EU Parliament
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
Not true. She was nominated by elected governments ( the Council), then approved by elected MEPS. She is also not the president of the EU, only of one of the three main EU institutions. Two directly elected bodies (Council and EP). One appointed by the two other elected bodies. Not so bad compared to UK. Only one elected entity. An unelected chief of State and an unelected House of Lords. None of them elected directly or indirectly. On top of it, applicants are pre-selected according to the most undemocratic criteria. -
Prince William just inherited a 685-year-old estate worth $1 billion

It's just an example of a broader issue. 30% to 50% of the land is owned by the aristocracy in the UK. It's huge. -
Sweden election: Gang shootings cast shadow over vote
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
It's quite interesting to see that Brexiteers, who are supposed to be proud of the British democratic system, have no problem when other countries, such as Hungary, trample underfoot the basic democratic principles that UK brought to the world, such as the independence of the judiciary and the media. -
Indian leader Narendra Modi tells Putin: Now is not the time for war
candide replied to Scott's topic in World News
Putin has the same problem with India as with China. Russia is an economic dwarf. https://www.india-briefing.com/news/indias-import-export-trends-in-2020-21-trade-diversification-fta-ftp-plans-23305.html/ -
No misunderstanding when sentences are not cherry picked. Here's the full paragraph. What do you conclude from it? During receipt of the production, FPOTUS COUNSEL 1 stated he was advised all the records that came from the White House were stored in one location within Mar-a-Lago, the STORAGE ROOM, and the boxes of records in the STORAGE ROOM were "the remaining repository" of records from the White House. FPOTUS COUNSEL 1 fwiher stated he was not advised there were any records in any private office space or other location in Mar-a-Lago. The agents and DOJ COUNSEL were pem1itted to see the STORAGE ROOM and observed that approximately fifty to fifty-five boxes remained in the STORAGE ROOM

This is completely incoherent. The Trump administration has appointed Durham to investigate this matter, in the hope of incriminating the so-called left (and in particular Hillary). Now you are claiming that Trump would have kept incriminating evidence instead of offering them to Durham on a silver plate, really? On top of it, what would have prevented Trump to make these documents public? In particular as he was claiming they were not classified documents! ????
