  1. Are you referring to the lands of Mesopotamia and Sumeria - some of the world’s earliest cradles of civilisation? These regions, often celebrated as the birthplace of structured education and the written word, laid the foundations for many aspects of modern culture, governance, and intellectual development. For millennia, these lands have been deeply intertwined with the heritage of the Iraqi people. Thus - suggesting 'get these people from their lands' shows a fundamental flaw in the understanding of the history of the area. That said: The geopolitical influence of the Iranian Islamic Republic over Iraq plays a significant role in the consolidation of Shia power across the Middle East, the "Shia Crescent." This alliance spans from Iran through Iraq to Syria and Lebanon, shaping the region’s balance of power and influencing both domestic and international policies. In Iraq, Iran’s influence has been particularly pronounced since the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime. This influence can be seen in legislative changes and social policies that restrict freedoms, reduce diversity of thought towards religious conservatism. The consequences of such influences are visible not only in Iraq but also in other regional hotspots. In Afghanistan and Yeman, for example, a similar ideological extremism has resulted in severe rollbacks of civil liberties. Extremist ideologies, whether they stem from political, religious, or other dogmatic beliefs frequently erode the foundational principles of any flourishing society. Meanwhile, the devided reaction in Western nations enables home grown political devsion which indirectly emboldens authoritarian regimes that view these freedoms as vulnerabilities. In summary: Iran is pulling the strings in the whole region and the errosion of civil rights in the region is the result - Anyone protesting in support of palestine emboldens the 'Shia Crescent'... (its obviously more complext that that simplistic and dumbed down summary - however, the Iranian Islamic Republic is at the crux of the whole Middle East issue and has been since 1979).
  2. I guess you won't be getting an EV any time soon then !!! Billions of people charge their phones over night, leave their TV's, Laptops, PC's plugged in etc... .. no issues. I think the risk is not with the acutal charging, but the intrinsic safety of 'some' electical circuits in some houses, combined of course with very poor quality cheap adapters, sockets and chargers...
  3. Oh dear... apps steeling your data in the background... hmm... Phones are now designed to 'manage' charging... A poor electrical circuit is more likely the issue here than the phone itself 'exploding'.... or even more likley very poor quality non OEM chargers that cannot handle the current - its seems the issue started at the socket.
  4. You correct, mostly, However, as I understand it, re-manufacture is a last resort, after attempts are made to recover iPhones through either: a) Spear-Pishing attempts b) IF the 'Find My' feature is not turned on, then the device is not linked to the Apple Activation Lock, thieves or technicians can potentially reset the phone or change its Apple ID without needing the original owner’s credentials So, if I'm not mistaken, much of what 'can be done' depends upon whether or not the 'Find My' feature is activated or not. In the case of the Op who asked....'what could happend to his iPhone ?' (which did not have the 'Find My' feater activated) - the answere is, most commonly phones are shipped to China and 're-set'... when that is not possible, as you correctly point out, the are 're-manufactured'.
  5. You clearly don’t understand the security and strength of the Apple lock process. There is nothing that can be done to unlock an iCloud locked phone. The only way to do that is to know the Apple ID and password. The only thing that a locked phone is good for is to strip it for parts. A locked iPhone mother board is worth around £4.00 Of course if you have government class money you may be able to recover the data You clearly don't understand where nearly all stolen iPhones end up (Shenzhen, Guangdong, China) https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255110862?sortBy=rank
  6. Your flawad bias is highly evident in the manner with which you have cherry picked your quote to fit your delusion. < Mr. Arthit, in a display of anger, reportedly grabbed a metal rod >.. (which which he used to attack the Brit) < He 'later' claimed self defence > No witnesses reported that the Brit attacked first, witness did state the exchange was heated and the Thai attacked the Brit. The Thai of course lied through his teeth to the police that he was 'defending himself... ...a 35 year old defending himself from a 70+ year old skinny man.... Hmmm... he really needed that metal rod such was the strength and fighting prowess of the powerful british OAP !!!
  7. Interesting that you automatically beleive that the Thai was defending himself with a batton... and you will not for one second condier that the Brit was a victim of an assault and this might have been instigated by a Thai who lacked the emotional tools to handle a conflict without escalating to violence. There are numerous possibilites of what might have happend - you automatically running with the 'Farang bad - Thai good' option higlights the extent of your delusion.
  8. Really ?? A poll on a forum makes drink driving acceptable ?? You stupidly think that surrounding yourself with other idiots is some form of scientific measure to justify your attitudes towards drink driving. If you posted a 'flat Earth poll' and 75% of idiots voted that it was flat not spherical, that doesn't make it flat !!! Your poll was fundamentally flawed in the manner that it was 'loaded' and lacked a 'balanced middle ground' option. Kind of like polling and asking the question "have you ever tried Marajuna", and then jumping to the conclusion that everyone is dope-heads becasue so many people have tried it... I think you cannot see that, because you are so locked into your bias that drink driving is somehow acceptable and the global stats, world wide governments and every scientific test regarding impairment are somehow wrong and you are right because you 'think' you are ok to drive after 10-12 pints...
  9. ... aww... poor you... You missed my sarcasm !!... you fall foul of the very thing you criticise !!!
  10. 'Perfect' is a polar opposite of any term I'd use... delsuional, derranged... I simply cannot fathom how someone posesses such a knack for repeatedly 'missing the boat' and to such an extent... then throws out the accusation that someone else "always gets it wrong" - a pitch-perfect example of delusional hypocrisy if I’ve ever seen it.....
  11. No, that would be you... More than any other poster you exibit a degree of delusion when making your generalisatoins that leaves one wondering what on earth is going on in that head of yours.... I simply cannot fathom how you manage so frequently to jump to such apoligsist opinions whenever there is a Thai on Westener issue. -------- In this example we have two fools, both of whom were unable to control their emotions when handling a minor traffice incident. We've no idea who was at fault for the initial infraction, but we know who grabbed a weapon and attacked with it. Yet, somehow, in a state of complete delusion only equalled by your delusion in so many other threads, you abandon any sense of balance and shoot straight for the 'farang blaming'... Whenever I read such comments of yours I always initially figure that no one can be this out of sync with reality... then as you double down on the imbalanced stupidity I realise you are not trolling at all, but actually mean what you write which is even more astonishing.
  12. Does Grab not deliver Salads ???? .... or is it considered too expensive to order 'just a Greek Salad' for example...
  13. You may need to contact a Broker about this, although its an execellent idea, its somewhat 'colouring outside the lines' especially for a Motorcycle.... I imagine that most 'rental motorcycles' have just the basic government insurance and the rider is going to be held accountable for any damages, which, I assume is what you are attempting to protect yourself from. First option is of course ensure you are licensed to ride a motorcycle in Thailand, as without this, any insurance is void anyway.
  14. Try it on a different device with the same VPN configurations - then you can isolate if its the VPN or your device.
  15. I guess you've never heard of AA Alcoholics anonymous.. it is a rehab institution.... I'm sure Thailand has something similar You've taken a huge leap and inferred that someone caught drink driving is an alcholic, and thus needs a rehab support group... This is clearly incorrect, a logical fallacy. Example at hand: MalcomB has admited in other threads to regularly drink driving after as much as 10-12 beers... But, that does not mean he is an alcoholic and needs the help of AA.
  16. Better advice would be to drive carefully at all times... And if a person is going to have a couple and remain within the DUI limit, drive in the same careful manner... This lady didn't have a couple, we was well over the limit - but perhaps did not have 10-12 beers though...
  17. That does sound werid... Usually the Police are not so lazy to write a report... Your relative should go back to the station... there is no way the police should get away with just dismissing him. Is the car fully insured ? Note: only Type 1 and Type 2 - cover for theft... The compulsory insurance (por-ror-bor) does not.
  18. These tags work through 'blue tooth' proximity.... Basically, if its near another samsung phone it will 'relay' its location via their 'Smart Things' network. Apple Air-tags work in the same manner, but through Apples 'Find My' network and iOS devices. One consideration: Samsung has 20.6 % of the phone market in Thailand. Apple has 33.4% of the phone market in Thailand. So there is a greater chance of finding your 'tag' through Apple, but all that depends upon what eco-system you are within already. I have Air-Tags on / with my Bike, Bike Keys, Car Keys, Car, Suit Cases... Its good with the suit cases, I can see whether my bags have arrived when I'm waiting for them at the baggage carousel. I also put my bike in for a repair recently - it took a while for a spare part so it was with the dealership for over a month (they lent me a spare bike) - while my bike was there, I could see it was there all the time and that no one was taking it on 'joy rides' etc... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNORAc8qb5U&t=1s
  19. Outstanding - humanity prevails. It's nice to read of a postive outcome....
  20. Defo not you... you have never boasted about drink driving (that I'm aware of). I think it can be blamed on someone being outrageously stupid and also drunk !!!
  21. Sell it, where it gets sent to China, opened up, un-bricked and resold (or thats where most phones end up). Anyway - did you ever get round to 'option 1' and just calling it and seeing who answers ?
  22. Social Media is become far more effective for this stuff... But critical mass has to be reached for the media to spread... Ultimately, the news networks need to pick up the story, but because they too are lazy, the scour social media and pick stuff up and run with it as a news story. As you pointed out, paying money also works, but that precident enforces laziness... If the guy doesn't stop, then it costs more for the Police to do more about it - Also, the womany living in an apartment block like that may not have 1000's of baht spare to hand over to the lazy police.
  23. Does that mean when we watch a great Western Movie, if you are from Hawaii you'd call it a great Eastern Move, if from Argentina you'd call it a great Northern Movie ??? ... think that shuts down that argument !!!
  24. No... Its classed as Indian food... ..... though Geographically, yes, its Asian food, in the same manner that Chinese, Japanese or Korean cuisines are also Asian.... Each are so varied due to their immense diversity and unique characteristics they deserve their own food classification. Or we may as well just call everything..... 'Earth food'...
  25. What does he smoke?? No idea... but he breaths out bovine faeces and reguritates them on this forum !!!!
