You mentioned 12 is an afternoon warm up session and the topic is specifically drink driving. If you lack the clarity in your comment that '12 is a drink driving session' but do not drive - in such a topic its obviously important when discusion 'volume' or 'amount' that you clarifiy you are not drink driving after such consumption.

10-12 beers over any 'social time period' i.e. 4 or 5 hours will still place you well over the drink driving limit... You seem to think you metabolise beer far faster than anyone else.... This plot is based on an 85 kg male (I'm assuming you are not a fattie as you like to fat shame 'big-uns' in other threads. 1x 330ml 5% beer ever hour for 10 beers... There are varyances of course - but you will be way over the legal limit to drive and without doubt inhebriated to such a degree you will be without doubt impaired and judgement far more clouded that it is while sober (if thats possibe).

Make an Appointment with VFS and apply for a new Passport for your daughter. As the Passport is both lost and expired, you may need a Police letter - but you can ask those questions. Good idea above to try to and find the Pasport number - it may be worth going to Immigration and asking for help there, see what they have on their records, easier if you know your daughers arrival date was.

Yes often as they want to see your visa. Pink card is accepted as ID in place of passport all the time but hotels are obligated to know your visa status. I've not been asked for my Passport in hotels in Thailand when checking in with the Pink ID. - Marriott, Hilton, The Standard are the most recent ones... This may also be because I was travelling with my Wife. As these hotels were in another province, I also had my passsport with me in my bag (just in case its needed). The last time I used my Pink ID was to withdraw a large amount of Cash from SCB Bank, and they pay it into Bangkok Bank (Banks were next door to each other - but charged a 200 baht trasfer fee - which IMO is cheeky - and SCB do not allow foreigners to transfer amounts above 50,000 baht using the SCB Easy App as they are not set up with NDID for forigners - transfers can be made of the foriegner signed a waver waving bank responsibility for any fraudulent transfers - which I wont sign...... Meanwhile, with the Pink ID I was able to set up NDID with Bangkok Bank - so can make large transfers and still have the fraud protection).

OP - a similar thing happened to me at first. When my Wife went (I was overseas working at the time) - the Amphur officers reply was 'cannot' that visa doesn't exist (when the Wife showed a photocopy my visa).... It was apparent that the Amphur officer simply did not want to go through the process. Once 'challenged' about the validity of the visa, the next 'hurdle' was an apointment, with availabilty in another two months... this was clearly another tactic to avoid the issue. The delay suited me as I was away at work, then would be overseas for Christmas etc so I was happy with the timing. On the day of the appointment, we turned up with required documents (including MFA certified translation of Embassy verified copy of my passport)... ... it was then I realised why the reluctance... its quite a lot of paper work and took well in excess of an hour of form filling - its a lot of work fro the amphur officer - this I think their standard go to is 'cannont'.. (which translated is "I dont really want to be doing this... candy crush is more fun" !!!!

Rather a naïve comment – anyone with any reasonable exposure to Thailand already understands how much things can vary... Requirements and standards differ from region to region, amphur to amphur, office to office, and even officer to officer. All you've highlighted is that you naïvely paid 5,000 baht for something that is free (actually, the pink ID costs about 40 baht).

Absolutely on point... I think this complaint (the Op) is the same as people who complain about bus gates without realising the pick-up / drop-off is right in front of Immigration, so there is less walking and it is often quicker. The only issue with bus gates is the 'heat' while you wait on a bus for others to board and the heat gets into the bus. And, of course, while walking up steps / down steps (in rain or / and very humid conditions to the bus itself).

The magic words IF TRUE I've taken the train between the Main and Sateliite terminal numerous times now (in excess of 10 times)... 3 mins is not true... I think about 10mins is a more realistic assement of the time it takes... - Escalators down to lower AMP station level (~2 mins) - Waiting for the train (~3mins perhaps) - Train itself (~3 mins perhaps) - Escalators to main departures in Satelite terminal (~2 mins)

Dubai Terminal 2 to Dubai Terminal 3 ???... Thats an awful system. It seems they use Dubai T2 for Fly Dubai routes for all the regional flights to 'armpits'... the bus between terminals takes about 25 mintues and is not a pleasant experience in the height of summer. (note - this is not the same as using the monorial between concourses A-B-C within T3 - which also takes additonal time, but thats becasue its a very large airport).

Your assement is flawed... It takes no 'extra' time to get to the Satellite terminal. The flights I've been taking (Qatar Airways) have been using this terminal for about a year now. Once you pass immigration, you are in the 'centre' of the airport' an this is where the AMP (train) is located, so you have a very short distance to walk... In many cases, getting to your S-Gate is quicker than getting to the far reaches of the E-Gates (i.e. E10 etc)... This is the same congantive fallacy as using Bus Gates, as they are often closer and drop you closer to immigration than the long walk from some of the gates - you are in fact quicker. If you are at the far reaches of the S-Gates (i.e. S-101 or S-128) then you also have some distance to walk... the train adds perhaps 10 minutes. IF you are habitually cutting things that fine, you'd be close to missing flights numerous times already. Qatar Always already using this terminal... Perfectly convenient... It actaully takes less walking than getting to the gates used by Emirates (E-4 and E-6 usually). Because that would mean carring your baggage further and you'd then be complaining about that asking why not just have a single check-in terminal to make life more simple for passengers. Given your content - I think you'd complain whichever way this was worked out. Suvarnabumi Airport is a very good Airport, KLIA uses the same type of Satelite terminal, and also operates extremely well.

Liar, if you cared about safety you would most definately not be boasting about dirivng while drunk...... you meantioned you drink 10-12 beers... So you drive after that amount then ? Be clear - are you driving after just two or three beers... OR, are you drinking the 10-12 and then pulling the wool over your own eyes that you can driver safely if you drive slowly ??

I agree.... Given my stance on this subject, it was hypocritical helping out a couple of friends who were caught out over limit.... ... But what to do eh ?... tell them to go and get flooked when they called ?... Nope... It is never happened. it is only happening in your imagination. It 'has' never happend 'yet'... it can happen any time... an accident can happen while sober, but is far more likely while you are drunk, and I'll also agree that an accident is more likely if you are speeding too... and especailly if you are speeding and drunk... As far a 'happenings within the imagiation' is concerned... it is your delusion you are OK to drive while quite drunk tht is 'happening'... the chances are you hitting someone while drink driving are fare higher than anyone else who driver normally sobre.... But, as you admited to driving like an utter t!t while sober, it maybe different for you... as it seems you drive less recklessly while sobre - the reality is, according to your comments you are a dangerous driver while both sober and drunk. You'll hurt someone one day, you're like a ticking time bomb... but at least you'll be in your own car and not hurt yourself and you'll be selfishly ok with that you'll propably brag that you were sensible enough to drink drive and not drink ride !!!
