Recommendations for IVF clinic in Thailand?

Fair enough - it was over 10 years since 'we' conceived there... no such certification required at that time - clearly the policies have come in over time then. -

Swiss man in Phuket acquitted of assaulting doctor
richard_smith237 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
thanks - for some reason I thought there was a self incriminating video that show him making the assault - though I may have had my wires crossed with another (different) assault by a Swiss-man at the time... -
This is going to be my last day on Asean Now.

… no you’re not Bob… Just like last time, you made such a claim before… See you on your next “I’m on a bender” thread… or… “why did the waitress scowl at me” thread…. -

Swiss man in Phuket acquitted of assaulting doctor

Yep… I think so…. Same benefit of doubt bounces get when stamping on an errant customers head… … “t’was just misplaced footing”… After decades here this place remains an enigma - pick mushrooms in a forest & get two years in prison, kick someone and… I wonder how much the ‘benefit of doubt’ cost him… he’d already tried to bribe the Dr who refused to accept any money and wanted to see full justice. She’s been let down by her own nations legal system.- 195 replies

20 Missing After Boat Capsizes in Swollen Mekong River
richard_smith237 replied to snoop1130's topic in Chiang Rai News
Another ferry boat disaster. Another bus down a ravine. Another lorry break failure. Another family killed by a drunk driver. Another child drowns. Another pitbull attack. Another psycho on yabaa kills his mate / family member. Wash, rinse, repeat…. Do nothing about the issues…. To be fair the UK does nothing about its issues either so it’s somewhat hypocritical of me to judge - it’s just sad to read if so many avoidable deaths here… … & continuing to see that those in positions of authority seem not to care at all. -
Swiss man in Phuket acquitted of assaulting doctor
richard_smith237 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
I don’t know how he can be acquitted when there was video evidence of an assault. That said - the acquittal does bring into question the validity of comments in other threads that us foreigners are treated unequally…. This guy has received a very soft response from Thailands judiciary process. I think many of us here who see someone attack someone horribly in this manner deserves a lot worse whatever their nationality.- 195 replies

I’ll rephrase this part… *the young children who couldn’t swim were playing in the water without supervision” An example of -negligent parenting leading to a completely avoidable tragedy.- 1 reply

Recommendations for IVF clinic in Thailand?

My wife and I were NOT married when we had our son via IVF at Nawabutr. That law was introduced due to some controversy at the time surrounding surrogacy. The usual knee jerk reaction to a social media storm, with legislation which was pretty much ignored by many (all?) fertility clinics & facilities offering surrogacy & fertility treatments. -
Unless the market for 2nd hand EV’s collapses - after the end of your battery warrant who wants a car that is worthless if the battery cost more to replace the value if a car ??? … of course, that’s loaded with assumption, just as your bias is towards the collapse of a 2nd hand ICE market. Also - is there a growing shift towards hydrogen fuel cell & biofuels ? There are huge environmental issues potentially facing us with the handling of expired car batteries & millions of tonnes of solar cells that are no longer efficient & require disposal or recycling. My car chill likely be an EV - but I’m not as confident as you are of their longevity from a value perspective.

How easy is the Bangkok Bank WebPage to use ? The Op has been cryptic about which online Web Portal (internet Banking) he's struggling with. I'm not sure why (perhaps he fears Thailands defamation for stating he finds the interface of xxx bank poor to use !). Ops end game appears to be not to use a smart phone at all.
-
You're trying to back-peddle !!.. You misunderstood the Op and gave advice about Apps on a Smart Phone... then defended your mistake, perhaps because you didn't get teh difference between Internet and Mobile Banking. You've been corrected a number times A mistake is simply a mistake, Its not an issue, its just mistake, but doubling down on your silliness, is well, silly !!!...
-
OP - you are going to extreme lengths to avoid the use of a smart phone, however, with the manner in which you wish to communicate and bank you are creating additional inconvenience. A number of Thai Banks have moved away from Internet Banking due to the insistance of the Bank of Thailand to utilise the NDID (National Digital ID system) - i.e. SCB, KTB Thus: Perhaps other members can state if they have functional... - Bangkok Bank Internet Banking - Kasikorn Internert Banking NOT mBanking on a smart phone through an App, but logging in through an internet WebPage on the computer (some posters are struggling with this specific aspect of the discussion).

Phuket taxi driver tussle turns streets into a brawl zone (video)
richard_smith237 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
I've worked with plenty of Iranians - not one of them supported their fundamentalist Iranian Islamic regime... Its is only 'pure fear' that keeps Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in power - like a religious dictatorship crossed with the Orwellian nature of animal farm - almost dystopian, such is its juxtaposition in 'officia; attitudes from the majority of the rest of the world. -
A very hard 100% no... I wouldn't consider the same in the UK, so why here ? I wouldn't consider a 'date' with a girl unless her English was excellent, I mean educated English, not English picked up through other means (i.e. interaction with foreigners in social environments). Thats just my opinion (asked for in the Op) and I pass no judgement on others who have dated BG's etc... Its just not something I'd ever consider.
-
To put that in perspective... How mean deaths were there from people tripping over a pair of slippers ? How many accident drownings in a bathtub ? or falling from a ladder ? I wanted to get that out there before someone asks the questions, we'll xxx is dangerous should we ban that ??... i.e. should slippers, bathtubs, ladders be banned ?... becasue there are more deaths from each of those than from dogs... But... all of those things are designed out of useful necessity, the 'Pitbull breeds' are bred to be dangerous - they are not a necessity and as much as some may like the breed, they are not a breed initially intended or bred for their soft nature, quite the opposite in fact.

Recommendations for IVF clinic in Thailand?
richard_smith237 replied to MarkyM3's topic in Health and Medicine
No question about it... 100% this guy.... https://jetanin.com/doctors/dr-somjate-manipalviratn/ IVF using ICSI - All in, start to finish (adding each individual consultation, tests, medication, checks, scans, procedures etc followups etc right up to birth) - about 300,000 baht (about a decade ago). The same Dr also works at Bumrungrad (and the Birth can be there). ------- Note: It was this Clinic which I checked out after reading someone else's recommendation on this forum when searching for similar answers - fortuitously I found Jetanin recommended on this forum (back when it was ThaiVisa.com). I've recommended Jetanin a handful of times to close friends with successful results. I'm happy to be able to recommend Jetanin again. -
Nailed the point... The distrust creates a lot of issues which otherwise would not exist... The very same can be said of many of the tourist vs taxi driver conflicts that we read of. I'd feel terrible if this was a taxi driver who has never 'over charged' a passenger' though I'd consider that chance a rarity.
