  1. 100% Agree Bob… This man is a racist cretin - people such as this in positions of power are dangerous. That said, the Swiss guy is also clearly a cretin, but any charges are for the legal system to decide & that has to remain impartial. Anutin is attempting to pervert the course of justice & should face charges himself.
  2. Curiosity has struck me... Laser with minimal incision for arthroscopic repair of the meniscus ??? My complex tear was irreparable, so it looked like it was trimmed back with what I can only describe as a probe similar to a 'nose hair trimmer'.... (difficult to clearly identify in the video so I made assumptions)... that itself could have been the laser you mention which instead of 'trimming in back' it burnt it back ???? so that the tear was cleaned up / trimmed up so it doesn't propagate further.
  3. There - I think the video shows what happens... Question answered isn't it ?
  4. Probably becase you walked down that area in the day time. Try it at about midnight and you'll see otherwise.
  5. I have to point out how impressed I am with the traffic police in this situation.... The speed with which they were able to 'cone off the area' is impressive....
  6. Go into any bar ????... Use the bathroom there (buy a beer on the way out) ?? Perhaps he'd tried that already.... BUT.... In reality, I can only see the actions of someone so drunk and out of it, OR.... someone with serious mental health issues. A couple of further comments: Props to the security guard for helping out - he clearly saw someone in a great deal of trouble and did what he could Why is the woman letting her kid watch ?.... (completely wrong IMO).
  7. Thats a 'tash' ??.... I just thought he'd inadvertently wiped his top lip....
  8. Had to get the Wife to pull the car over the other day..... Just couldn't hold it anymore so decided to commit the crime I've seen repeated 1000's of times in this country and take a leak in a bush on a dark soi.... The following day I scoured the pages of this forum looking for an offending photo of a hansum-man pishing like a racehorse into a bush.... and the subsequent "gives all us farangs a bad name, deport him now" comments....
  9. And 'they backed off'.... Lovely... You force hotel staff to 'back off'.... very classy.... No... I just don't feel I am above the regulations.... You seem to think rules are for everyone else and not you. So funny...
  10. The reasons I never get into the 'Israel debate'.... (usually)... is becase of the reasons you example.... and why you correctly, countered me. Not many have the attention span to fully assimilate history to the detail needed to understand this highly complex issue and instead we are left with similifed paragraphs and statements as below, when in reality, a whole thesis is required to explain the issues at hand and more recently a lot of 'inside' information. The history is rich, varied, tribal, pre-dates borders etc.... what becomes more clear is documentation highlights both 'sides' have more in common than difference... both have been persecuted, It's also documented how Jews were persecuted and pushed from their lands over millennia. Both 'sides' have fair claim to the lands that are now Israel and that land is now quite valuable to both 'sides'... or more accruately, so those who 'support' either side. It's also 'theorised' that the proposed development by Israel greatly threatens the financial well being of 'other Arab states' with the potential development of Oil and Gas in Israel (offshore Gaza) and also the Development of Projects such as the Ben Gurion Canal..... There is a lot more than meets the eye to this conflict and 'some' states are deliberately 'destabilising' the area to prevent such development. I've been to (worked in) both Israel and most of the Middle East - one thing that stands out to me.... the similarity between the Jews and the Arabs is overwhelming.... at one point its clear, they were the same people.
  11. You're not dealing with Immigration - you are dealing with hotel stall whose job it is to do their job and you are making that more difficult for them because you are 'trouble and grumpy' !!!... If they ask specifically for a passport - just give it to them... what harm could that possible come to ??? You are scared that Immigration know you went to xx place on a 3 day break ???
  12. Why make life difficult for others ?..... Its ok, question was rhetorical - the answer is in your user-name. I usually just offer my Pink ID from my wallet and this is accepted, but not all the time, sometimes the staff will want a Passport, so I get that out of bag (the only reason I offer my pink ID in the first place is that its simpler to access than my passport which is locked in my bag). Another facet to this issue - from the 'other' side. Immigration target some hotels more than others and they 'love' to see that foreigners are staying there that have not been registered with the TM30 - This allows 'negotiating power' for future free stays at that hotel (for Immigration and 'friends of').... Thus some hotels want to do things 100% above board and officially so they don't have to bend over to this type of behavior.
  13. He's also 80 years old.... I'm sure I've looked much rougher than this in my 20's when waking up after a big night out... Its incredible how some posters focus on the utterly irrelevant.... I really have to wonder what degree of simpletons we have on this forum who are completely oblivious to the fact that they are simpletons....
  14. The Bangkok Bank WebPage is clearly wrong.... NDID can be set up to work for foreigners - enough of us have already done so. Rules ???... its something written on a website which is most likely a mistake... (clearly it is a mistake)... Look at most official websites in Thailand and they are riddled with error - Look at the MFA websites and pretty much all Thai Embassy Websites and you will see those riddled with errors.... In these fora people such as yourself may cling on to such errors as fact as you seem to believe anything in print to be fact, regulation, law or rules.... ..... they are not, these are just something some member of staff has written on a website usually without oversight, without proof reading, without being double checked... ..... this is why there is often so much conflict (on this forum) between what can be done and those stating what can't because they read it on a web-page that contains errors.
  15. If anyone wants to know what a post cherry picking supportive data and ignoring the rest of history.... look at Brickleberry... ... Who were the Israelites ?
  16. I'm on a Thai Elite S.E. Visa (i.e. Visa Stamp for 5 years)... and have a 5 year Driving Licence. BUT... personal experience has been varied... (At DLT Area 3 Bangkok). My Thai Driving Licence is tied to my Yellow House Book (and Pink ID)... this maybe why my Thai DL was renewed to a 5 Year license this time around. Previously I did not have the Yellow House Book (and Pink ID) and my 5 Year Thai Driving Licence was renewed to a Temp 2 year Licence. Thus: My renewals went something like this. 2 Yr Temp 5 Yr Full (w/ Non-Imm visa) 5 Yr Full (w/ Non-Imm visa) 2 Yr Temp (w/ S.E. Thai Elite Visa) 5 Yr Full (w/ S.E. Thai Elite Visa & Yellow house book Pink ID) I'm not sure if the Yellow House Book and Pink ID made the difference in the staff at the DLT issuing a 5 year licence OR, if they simply made a mistake... Its not as if staff are diligent and focused to detail so they may have been going through the motions and simply renewed 2 to 5 years anyway without thinking.
  17. Highlighting a comparison between Coffee and Methamphetamine highlights a major logic imbalance... such that the the above comment is out there in 'complete nut-job territory' !!!....
  18. Thats too generalised... not all antibiotics are the same and there are some types of antibiotic which are not adequately metabolised when taken in the presence of alcohol... So... while not wholly accurate, in fact, as you point out, mostly inaccurate - the medical advice not to take alcohol when taking antibiotics is general advice for the general public, i.e. the medically uneducated who are unable to differentiate and may dumb down and over simply their attitudes to such matters and believe becase taking alcohol with many antibiotics its ok for all and start claiming medical advice is just an 'old wives tale' !!!
  19. Not according to the Bangkok Bank website https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Digital-Banking/NDID I'm lying then ????? Nan Leaw is lying then ???? Everyman is lying then ???? Doesn't matter what links you drag up from the internet - it doesn't beat first hand experience...
  20. It's several years ago since I made that trip. I know I made it once on my VFR400, and I didn't like it because of all the trucks. I sold the VFR and a few years later I bought a Duke 390. I don't think I ever made that trip with that bike. If anybody would suggest now to make that trip with any bike, I wouldn't want to do it. But if I would do it, then with a bike which can at least accelerate to 140 or something like that. Maybe the road is better now. I have no idea. Yeah... I recall it was a 400cc something.... and recall you also have (had ?) a Duke... It was good info at the time - put me off doing a similar trip... Getting out of Bangkok is a PITA on a Bike.... not something I've ever had interest in doing to uch a point I ended up downgrading to a scooter that I know I'll never bother exiting the city on. I drive all over Bangkok.... and obviously have driven out of Bangkok (in each direction)... but thats mostly on Expressways and made much simpler (and safer) being elevated and out of the way of all the BS going on on the main roads. I've ridden Bang Na-Trat to a mates house..... I really didn't like it, I had to wave a couple of cars to back off... they were so close behind me as if they thought I was blocking their progress, although I was following another car in front of me.... (and the traffic at the time was too variable and erratic to start lane splitting).
  21. Didn't you do write on here of doing that journey on a KTM Duke a few years ago ?? If I recall correctly, you wrote of how terrifying it was on the Bang Na-Trad road with the lorries and nutty delivery riders etc...
  22. Correct.... the reading of 0.79 % is deadly..... So is 0.5% BAC... I think the article refers to either 0.079% which is a dash above 0.05% BAC 0.08% BAC is considered to be about 4 cans of beer or more realistically, 6 cans of been in a 2 hour period. That doesn't take anything away from the fact that he was over the limit - broke the law and he was impaired, even if slightly and his BAC levels (regardless of being relatively low) could have been to blame for his hurting (or worse) innocent others... ... So, Good job on the Police for catching him... I just wish they'd place exactly the same level of outrage and apply serious penalties for ALL those caught... (Thai's and non-Thai's).
  23. What's Cannabis got to do with two tourist thieving ??? Is the implication that tourists who thieve are dope heads ????
  24. +1 on this..... Very professional. Dr. Payna did my meniscus repair at Bumrungrad last year... Initial MRI and Consultations were 24,000 baht. The Cost of Operation itself was directly charged to insurance but was about 360,00 baht.
  25. No where in the original article does it mention bad foreigners. It was you who used that term. Perhaps you are just naturally obtuse... thats ok, plenty of folk lack the smarts and are a bit too literal.... ...... you may be too new here to remember the Immigration Cheifs slogan of 'Good Guy in Bad Guys out'... news such as this feeds off similar rhetoric....
