Thai cops probe groping incident by foreign men in Bangkok
richard_smith237 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Nope... No traps... they're just uncultured bogan ayholes... Nope.. just uncultured bogan ayholes, likely to be utter pigs to women in their home country. Agreed... but how much of a brain is needed to understand not all women are hookers, especially in a 'non-red light area' such as KSR. Yeah.. completely agree... uncultured bogan ayholes... though people who behave like this commonly leave a wake of pi$$ed of people behind them... Find out who they are and I wouldn't be surprised to see that they have some sort of 'history' in their home nations too. -
Well…. I think is quite evident who the complete ***** bore is !!!! 🫡

Taking 3 small tubs of nam prik into UK via Heathrow

Not quite right Joseph. There are multiple iterations of Nam Phrik - which come as a sauce, a paste or just Oil and contain various different ingredients… All interpretations are correct because Nam Phrik is not specific to type… (although commingle a sauce because of what it’s mixed with “, but the base ingredients is commonly chilli oil). …. it’s just like ‘Thai Curry’ could mean many different types of curry not just one type. Nam Phrik Ong, Nam Phrik Pla, Nam Phrik Kapi, Nam Mun Phrik, Nam Phrik Pao etc etc…. -
Rephrase- you have yet to meet a Thai male you don’t ’suspect’ of having a hidden agenda… Understandable if making acquaintances outside of (below) your ‘socio-economic’ status… … but, building mutually respectful relationships with those of similar socio-economic-educational status (of any nationality) takes time, trust builds over years.

That’s somewhat different then… The close Thai friends I have I trust implicitly, just as I do my close non-Thai friends…. Perhaps because it’s clear there is no hidden resentment or underlying (unfounded) judgement (& we also rip the pi$$ out of each other).
-
flip it…. I’m going to have one of those new 6.0 % FullMoon IPA’s then…

So you are incapable of making friends with Thai’s & project the same failings onto everyone else ? Its perfectly believable that many long term westerners have close Thai friends, I do, as do many of my friends. That said, with the anti-Thai sentiment expressed by Bob in other threads the reality of him having Thai friends is somewhat surprising.

Some dealerships sell ‘approved’ second hand which come with a warranty. Worth considering. -

Nearly… with a user name like Honkie, surely you know that already !!!!! IF targeting non Thai’s the BiB only need to differentiate Tourists from Thai’s & that’s something most of us can already do - particularly those riding motorcycles / scooters… -

I'm sure you'd be more than welcome to pay the Aussie rate fines if you so wished... -
100% agree... I used to use safari and the popups became so excessive the site becaume unusable. So, I switched to chrome, but it was still a PITA. On the advice of others on this forum I switched to BRAVE browser and that has done the trick. My son tells me they have switched to BRAVE browser at his school too... I guess its the best one at eradicating all the bumf we don't want.

Foreign couple caught having sex near mall entrance in Pattaya
richard_smith237 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Indeed... Perhaps the person posting the video will get into trouble for 'breaching' the computer crimes act and bringing Thailand into public disrepute.... -
Agreed... this is often called the 3 Circles that Thai's have... 1) Themselves and immediate loved ones 2) Friends and Work colleagues 3) Everyone else. It is in the 3rd category, everyone else, that it has been argued that Thai's are completely indifferent to and have no regard for. I'm inclined to agree that it appears that Thai's have very little regard for the value of life of 'everyone else'...

Defo go for the 200,000 baht Option... Thats the going rate isn't it ??? At least it was when a guy groped a woman's bottom in Walking Street Pattaya... As objectionable as sexual assault is... Is a Western male going to win 200,000 baht in compensation when an LB grabs his sack while walking down cowboy ????- 167 replies

Thai citizens in Haiti warned amidst escalating gang violence
richard_smith237 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Oh so they contacted them, did they phone them, send an e-mail, SMS them, or just put it up on their Mexican web site, pray tell ..oh yer on Facebook Isn't it clear ??? .. 'They made an announcement'..... so ALL Thai's will now know to steer clear of high risk zone 'cos all Thai's know to check for announcement all the time... erm.. don't they ? And thats officialdom - make an announcement... it doesn't really matter that the concerned parties actually know about whatever issue it is being announced, just so long as the backsides of those in positions of responsibility are officially covered... an announcement does that... CYA. -
