3 foreign men attack Phuket tuk tuk driver over parking dispute
gravity101 replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
There is already a sustainable solution. Tuk Tuks park on red and whites, parking spots, taxi ranks and pavements. Anyone else gets a police chain around their wheels. -
Foreign Tourist Sparks Outrage by Urinating in Phuket Airport
gravity101 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
I know arrivals. There is a toilet opposite. Zero excuse. I'd rather wet my pants than do it up against the backboard. What a c**t he is. Why did not one smack him? -
Rogue riders spark outrage as Phuket police face backlash
gravity101 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Is is maddening this year, an influx of topless, helmetless Rossi wannabees recently, on bikes way too powerful for them. They have to clamp down on them, they don't care about s""t, including police. I did see a rolling stop of such a guy yesterday that surprised me, hope he had his bike confiscated. -
Go straight for the good stuff, a course of Isotretonoin, especially for teenage acne and backne. There is a Thai cheap version, Acnotin. Don't mess around with anything topical or antibiotical just to find out they don't work very well and/or the acne returns, catch it before it effects her mental health and life long scaring. But as this person says, take it under supervision, no sun and monitor liver health. Start off slow, 5mg to check for reactions and take it from there. Will take 4 months to see improvements, but boy does it work. Finish the course, she'll thank you.

Bit of a joke. Every bar up in Bangtao sells NOS and weed, its like a children birthday party with all the balloons on the beach. Guarantee they don't have a licence for weed either. -
Belgian man scammed out of 8 million baht by female Thai soldier

Rubbish. That's bar stool talk. Unless your doing something illegal, no 'whim' or otherwise in government will deprive you of your property 🤣. -

No one in authority cares. TAT continues to pile them in, oblivious to the long term issues this is causing. -
Why would they do that? The tax code is clear and always has been. You SHOULD be submitting and filing tax returns if you live here >179 days in a year. The only thing that changed is that new directive on taxable income in the same tax year. Don't lose sight of why this has all come up, apart from that nothing is new. Enforcement of course is a different conversation, no one will do it unless forced to file, or penalties become scary enough and common enough to want to file.

Thai housemaid’s 100 million baht fortune hits a legal snag
gravity101 replied to snoop1130's topic in Koh Samui News
I'd like to hear whos done that on here with a minor. Phuket land department says no way. Lawyers say nope. They will allow a Thai wife to 'gift' a Thai minor however, 50k I was quoted as a brown envelope to go down that route as it was still shady. And of course to do that, the Thai wife has to sign at the land department that it was her own personal money that bought the land to start with for any potential future divorce. The kids legally cant sign a lease agreement with you either. Not sure what legal quandary that puts the farrang in if you divorce before the kids 20 and the wife wants to sell it and has legal avenues over the child to do so. -

Tim would be classed as a nominee also. This was stolen, plain and simple, I have no doubt the French lady knew the same as we all do on here and assumed it was protected as best she could and given TO A THAI is a lovely gift that hurts no one, back in full Thais hands. I feel sorry for her, lucky she won't know.
