yup they are mad that there was no one else in that meeting….so there won't be any leaks…..so they cant twist his words all out of shape.

    mad indeed.

Who needs The lying NYT? Trump's doing a bang up job of undermining himself.

"We talked for 15mins" - it was a hour.

"Mrs Abe speaks no English" - she does.

"We talked about adoptions, very interesting" - yeah, sure.

Maybe he was being polite by not saying that he dislikes needing to strain to understand someone with a think accent. Maybe he didn't care to be seated with her due to scandals back in Japan atm.

Maybe Melania understands Russian as it's pretty close to Slovenian. Putin also speaks, reads and writes English but prefers to speak Russian because most other people don't. Nobody knows what language they spoke.

It could also be possible that they were finally discussing things that are important and just felt they could be more direct and frank w/o the MSM breathing down their necks waiting for any chance to pounce and self-expand non-issue stories.

Since we're speculating, how about this: he went to Putin to get instructions on how to further undermine America.

    But here are the facts:

Trump said he was there for "15 minutes" — actually he was there for almost an hour.

Trump said Mrs Abe "doesn't speak English, not even 'hello'"

Fact is she speaks good English, Trump has sat next to her during her visit to the US and it's hard to believe they didn't say anything to each other during her entire trip.

    Trump said, "we discussed adoptions"

The adoption issue is linked to American sanctions against Russia under the Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act, which, coincidentally (?) the people Don Jr, Kushner and Manafort secretly met with were lobbying to abolish. Protocol dictates that any discussions beyond pleasantries be reported to National Security and/or State Dept. Trump did not do so.

I remember all those polls. Made by the same people who were celebrating Clinton's victory in the media.

    That's quite the dissonance:

If polls get things wrong*, never trust another poll.

If Trump is proved to be a blatant liar again and again, continue trusting him.

    T

*btw, the polls didn't get things wrong because they reported probabilities, not certainties. But explaining that would be a long post and OT.

  5. Trump shit on Sean Spicer constantly. On Trump’s first big foreign trip, he wouldn’t even let Spicer, a devout Catholic, meet the pope, even though it was literally the only thing Spicer ever wanted:

Sean Spicer didn’t get to meet the pope. Even reporters feel sorry for him. (Headline)

“Trump is a cruel boss,” said New Republic senior editor Jeet Heer, who said the president “didn’t let Sean Spicer meet the Pope out of sheer meanness.”

    All praise to Mammon.

So now your repeating the anti-Semitic slur that Jews are money-grubbers... who's the Neo-Nazi now.

Very clever deflection. But not really. Note that I'm referring to one particular person and his immediate adult family, not all Jews.

    Try harder.

New White House comms chief caught on Russian TV saying he wants to lift US sanctions

Donald Trump's new communications director thinks punishing Russia for interfering in the presidential election was "not the best decision." (sub-title)

"Scaramucci expressed this position in a pair of interactions with state-owned Russian media in January, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, while he was serving on Trump’s transition team."

While he was serving on Trump’s transition team...

To be fair, he was working on the transition from an independent America to a Russian colony.

So you are seriously arguing that a "Neo-Nazi" is employed in President Trump's White House...someone who has a Jewish daughter, son in law, and grandchildren. Again just goes to show why Trump is President and Hillary isn't...most people see right past such silly bluster.

I bet this latest addition "pledged" loyalty to 45 while on his knees over loyalty to America/U.S. Constitution. The Russia "R" party is really showing the world what they truly stand for while condoning his detrimental behavior.

Indeed. All the Trumpists in the Administration and the Trumpists in Congress, if we didn't see it before, we see it now and we see what they truly believe in: nothing. Nothing but power.

Typical response of the liberal-left...anyone with which they disagree is labeled racist and xenophobic; which is why these terms have lost any meaning and are often now seen as badges of honor.

Moving away from your meaningless generalization to the specific case of Sabastian Gorka, the shoe actually fits.

What a rat. Him and Trump family deserve each other.

  13. United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash confirmed this week that Trump’s “very, very successful” trip to the Gulf in May had helped trigger the decision by his country -- together with Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Bahrain -- to launch a political and economic assault on Qatar.

Trump says he sat with Putin at dinner because the wife of Japan's leader doesn't speak English. But she does.

President Trump says he went over to chat with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a dinner in Germany this month because his seat mate, the wife of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, didn't speak any English.

Akie Abe “doesn’t speak English … like, not ‘Hello,’” Trump told the New York Times in an interview Wednesday.

    Not so.

Trump probably started the conversation with his tried and tested Japanese conversation icebreaker: "hey can you introduce me to any Japanese AV models?"

She pretended to not understand. He assumed she couldn't speak English.

    Mystery solved. You are welcome.

It's one thing to damage America's image, antagonize allies, actively damage the environment, practice nepotism, flout the emoluments clause, deny healthcare and generally throw normalcy out the window, but completely taking the humor out of the joke phrase "asking for a friend" is really going too far. IMPEACH!

"So his deputy [Sessions] hardly knew, and that's Rosenstein, Rod Rosenstein, who is from Baltimore. There are very few Republicans in Baltimore, if any. So, he's from Baltimore."

That sound you just heard was subtlety going out the window.
Here's Trump's logic: He doesn't know Rosenstein --→ Rosenstein is from Baltimore -→ There are no Republicans in Baltimore -→ Rosenstein is a Democrat -→ Democrats hate Trump so Rosenstein must be biased against him -→ Rosenstein appointing a special counsel on the Russia investigation is totally partisan.

    TrumpWorld logic...

Also, what seems to be an essential prerequisite for even that (and every Trump) loony logic: there HAS to be a lie at the very heart of it. Rosenstein isn't from Baltimore.

You've got to read this.  I try not to listen to Trump's talk live.  I can't take it.  But it's worthwhile to see how he talks.  He's got not clue of what's going on.  Or, just doesn't care.  He doesn't sound like a smart person.  Something's wrong.

It's just scary this is the POTUS.

    From his NYT interview:

TRUMP: But what it does, Maggie, it means it gets tougher and tougher. As they get something, it gets tougher. Because politically, you can’t give it away. So pre-existing conditions are a tough deal. Because you are basically saying from the moment the insurance, you’re 21 years old, you start working and you’re paying $12 a year for insurance, and by the time you’re 70, you get a nice plan. Here’s something where you walk up and say, “I want my insurance.” It’s a very tough deal, but it is something that we’re doing a good job of.

Huh? And, huh??  The poor man is addled. Yet the Republicans in congress refuse to see it. It isn't even "the emperor's new clothes" anymore. More like "the emperor's new straight jacket"

    Sigh.
