Thailand Coup 2014- the gift, that keeps on giving!
-
It was Dennis Leary, who said something to the effect, that tobacco- companies, could sell black boxes with a skull and crossbones as the only picture and call them "Tumor" and nothing would change!
I think, he has a point!

Just one question: what I see there, in the background...is that one of the enclosures, that is soooo much better than in a zoo?
What do you mean "enclosures"???
An enclosure...also known as an inclosure...a piece of land or so, surrounded by a fence!
What is your problem, exactly?
So where is this "enclosure"? My problem is that you don't seem aware of how much space a tiger needs or what caging one entails or what a "cage" or enclosure is...
"that is soooo much better than in a zoo" - ????/
Okay...I will make it slow:
I am talking about the statements from the "temple", that the tigers are so much better of at the compound as they would be in a zoo, because the monks are just so loving and caring and whatnot.
And then, I see this "cage" in the background, merely of the size of maybe 30 sqm and - yes, I know- way to small for a big cat.
Got it?

Again: Mr. P or the Ministry of Culture and Moral and Ethics and stuff...please...any comment?
Any time now, please!
You expect them to fix something that's been broken for centuries and has been made worse in the last 7 decades by rampant alcohol abuse?
Take a look at the domestic violence situation in your own home country. Have your country's leaders made any inroads to reduce it?
Probably the best immediate solution would be to get everyone off alcohol and onto marijuana. It's easier to satisfy a craving for munchies than it is a craving for violence.
Are you some kind of a broken record? You asked the "What has your country done"- question on another thread already and I can assure you, "my " country has done way more, than anything Thailand will ever do.
But as you do not seem to be the brightest bulb in the candelabre: I made a toungue in cheek comment about Mr. P and Ethics, Culture, Moral ...and stuff - ministry, because both of them seem to see morals and culture threatened by underboob-selfies and women in mini-skirts.
That is what they blubber on about.
I would really like to hear some sensible comments on subjects that MATTER!
Thank you for the attention!

Vans have very poor impact protection to start with and of course no seatbelts. Recently I had words with a driver because he was chatting on face book whilst driving like a drunk on yaba and he looked at me like I was the idiot for asking him to stop it
They all have seat belts and speed limiters, Prayuth solved that about 9 months ago, isn't it?
Should ask Costas.
Idiotic post. Have the government leaders in your home country implemented van safety standards that have improved crashworthiness of vans and would have avoided these deaths? Have your country's leaders implemented driver education programs that would reduce fatalities caused by drivers who fall asleep at the wheel? Has your country required the manufacturers of vehicles to install anti-drifting technology which detects drivers and corrects for drivers who fall asleep at the wheel (yes, this technology is now available)?
. . .
I didn't think so.
My country doesn't have pick up's transporting 8 to 20 people in the back, with no safety- measures whatsoever and yes, that is regulated by law!

Dear h90
a) the army was fully into the war on drugs! and: yes...it was wrong!b ) I was referring to your "No government before tried to repair so many things of local mafia, corruption, abuse of power, etc etc." making it sound, like you think, this one is! Too funny, really! -

Well, I guess all posters in here know very well the dangers of electro smog, expecially microwaves like in WiFi ???
It is proven fact that microwaves from WiFi affect the health of children in a very bad way !!!
Cancer [according to the WHO !!!] !!! Autism !!! Alzheimer !!! Parkinson !!!
The radiation interferes with the [not only] the human biology, expecially cell communication !!!
If you don't like kids, get them into a microwave environment and buy them a mobile phone, tablet and get them WiFi.
If you DO like children, get aware of the very real health problems in connection with these devices and technologies.
...and get them a tinfoil- head, like the one, you are wearing?!

The longer he stays in power the better for Thailand.
As about the TVF posters, Prime Minister
Please, "Forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing."
You are watching a rape in progress, and you are standing on the sidelines applauding the rapist!!
You are a disgrace!!
What rape? Rape the rich and corrupt?
No government before tried to repair so many things of local mafia, corruption, abuse of power, etc etc.
Calling that a rape is an insult for all the dead one caused by the Shinawatra clan.
I have sad news for you: Santa Claus ain't real!

Oh good...that will fit in a 1 minute, 30 second commercial break!

I stopped reading and started laughing ...right...here...
"His remark came after a fortune-teller earlier cast doubt on the time frame for the general election."
Priceless!

I was against this populist policy, when it was first introduced under YS and I am still against it now (though, when it is the mighty Mr. P's idea, it can not be populist...the mind boggles!).
It would be way more helpful, to have good equipped computer- labs, where children learn about stuff like Exel etc.
Guess what: a tablet IS in essence a PC, so....

I would say 4...but still would ask to enforce the laws strictly, especially the one on drunk driving.
-
I still love the one with bacon and blue cheese at the Roadhouse (corner of Surawonge)...BUT...there is a new champion in town, called The Smokin' Pug, by the Tawana Hotel on Surawong!
They are just excellent!
Ask for the Ginger BBQ- sauce!

An example of transparency by the current government is by this article being reported on by the media.
If these reports of torture are true them one can be assured Prayuth will ensure the culprits are punished to the full extent of the law.
I love the above comment by the way. So PTP logic.
When the Junta hide and cover up claims of torture and refuse the NHCR to visit the comments are "This lack of transparency and not allowing NHCR to visit the victims shows the Junta are guilty"
When the Junta do not hide this report, do not cover up the story and allow the NHCR to visit the comments are "Window dressing to show the current regime are a caring lot that are not afraid to be taken to task"
These are the types of comments that show why reform is needed. It is time to leave the bitter and twisted negative views in the shadows of the dark past were they belong.
You really have an issue with understanding even the smallest things and you seriously have no clue, have you?!

If only the Thai- people would understand, how ridiculous all this is....
-
"many Western states and international agencies, including the United States, the European Union, the United Nations and Amnesty International expressed deep concern and asked for a swift return to democracy."
Blimey, I bet the General is quaking in his boots...
Obviously enough, to feel the need and come up with some seriously stupid explanations...

France not a good example of democracy, says Kraisak Choonhavan
in Thailand News
Posted
Maybe off-topic, but...isn't it fun, who some, who believe in all the bullenscheiss the current Thai- government talks, also believe the bullenscheiss some crazy muslim- leaders speak!
As long as it fits your agenda, everything is goldielocks, isn't it!
I bet you all I have, that none of the European countries-not France, not Britain, not Germany...- will bow to "sharia law"!
Not in my lifetime, not in the lifetime of my son...I would go as far to say :NEVER EVER!
But go on: bash European (-or US) democracy and fearmonger about Muslim radicals, who may be a threat in isolated incidents (Charlie Hebdo -which most of you also despise, I guess-, 9/11 etc.) but never on a nationwide scale.
In the meantime: cheer for a guy, who robbed a country of the slightest tiny bit of democracy, because you didn't like the other guy!
