In the UK we have ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Cameras which are linked to a centralised data base, it can tell if a car is insured, taxed, MOT'ed (Certificate of Road Worthiness), owner disqualified, etc.

And my point is this women's death has nothing to do with Koh Tao or farang deaths in Thailand or Police in Thailand ... sometimes these very worn out and extremely unclever comments are simply extremely distasteful. Absolutely no reason this women's sad demise needs to be fodder for the typical BS debates regarding completely unrelated topics.

Well aren't you commendable...Are your sentiments really only based around your own fear of death?....How is a perfectly natural event such as death thru whatever means sad?... If death is sad then birth also must be...coming and going is relative.....

In a world with rampant population growth, limited resource, severly compromised flora and fauna.....every little cull counts...

In daylight they can't even get someone to put a helmet on and that's the law.Some police don't even wear helmets so what chance tis ever getting off the ground.So to speak.

Not clear to me why so many civilians(mainly foreign) are so concerned about whether other people wear helmets or not, negating this law has no effect on the safety of others, so what's with the moral issue?

Agree about the lager louts but it won,t break my heart to see most of the Russians gone. Ask any Thai about their opinions of the Russians and some other types of foreigners and you will get an ear full. Yea they might love your money but not your overall personality and i would have to agree with them. Negative perhaps but it is the truth. Maybe one of the reasons for foreigners getting taken advantage of. Show disrespect towards the Thais and they will find a way to get even. Respect them, respect their customs, respect their laws, respect THEIR country and guess what no problems.
