Low copper and protein flagged in blood results
ubonr1971 replied to ubonr1971's topic in Health and Medicine
Yes, my liver blood tests are within normal range Other bloods: WBC Lymphocyte 40.4 L, Neutrophil 43.8L, Eosinophil 5.7 H, RBC Hemoglobin 13.7 L Vitamin D 27 3 yrs ago significant memory issues. Dr tested many things and it was flagged 1 month bc it was flagged as deficient by the dr taking the blood test. I had low labido and asked for that to be tested no Entresto 50mg twice a day. My heart function is back to normal now but dr says I have to keep taking it. Rarely drink now. Maybe a beer sometimes. Overall, I think you are correct. Do nothing. I think I will up the dose again suggested by the dr a month ago. Take 2mg copper in morning. 30mg zinc lunch and 2mg copper again. I have changed the brand of zinc and see if I can persist with that regime for a month and re test copper and zinc after a month. thanks -
Im middle aged living in Thailand. Ive been low on copper for many years and have blood results as evidence. Ive been taking 2mg of copper for ages but never been able to get the levels up. Last month an endocrynologist told me to take 2mg in the morning and 2mg at night. She said take 30mg zinc at lunchtime. I tried this for 2 weeks and had to lower both doses due to side effects. Last month copper was low at 687.62 (range 800-1100). This week its 725.44. Last month my zinc was low at 56.62 (range 70 to 120). This week its 68. I have dialated cardiomyopathy as well and some minor issues with my heart. A month ago urine analysis showed Protein trace A. This week dr tested for Wilsons disease Ceruloplasmin and my level was 0.200. (range 0.200 to .600) Anyways I checked what dr chatgbt says and it suggests impaired copper metabolism. ie my body is not properly transporting or retaining copper. Its suggesting Liver function tests and check for neurologic or ophthalmologic evaluation (whatever that is) I seem to remember 2 yrs ago they did a scan on my liver which flagged something in the images. I will have to go back and check this So the reason for writing all this is to ask if anyone knows a good specialist that can help me diagnose and sort this out. I think my edocrynologist has no idea. Bangkok based specialist is ok. Do you agree a liver dr would be a good idea? Im wondering if I should do genetic testing for wilsons and menkes disease? thanks

Should a fridge or freezer at a restaurant have a breaker?

Thanks for your comment. So maybe the only fire risk is if the engine of the fridge or freezer fails and catches fire not the wiring to the elec box. -

I have to agree with your last paragraph. The selfish side to some thais is shocking. The thai attitude comes thru... -
Dog Barking Drama: When Neighbourly Conflicts Turn Threatening
ubonr1971 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I agree with most comments above. I think Thais, in general, have no idea about dogs. In 12 years Ive rarely seen anyone walk their dog for exercise. Only once I think. The other day I was at phrom pong bts. I saw a lady with 2 small ratty dogs in a pram. she started walking towards Empshere. She could have let the neurotic dogs out to walk that 500m. No. Too stupid. Dogs were whining being stuck in the pram. Totally clueless and stupid -
Dog Barking Drama: When Neighbourly Conflicts Turn Threatening

10 yrs ago we rented a house in a moobahn village which has rows of 50 concrete ugly houses with small yard area. Next to us they have 5 dogs barking all day. At night she took them inside which was a relief. But during the day was a nightmare Across the road they had a dog barking at midnight thereabouts every night. We got all the neighbours together and went to talk to mr and mrs middle class inconsiderate thais. I was the ring leader. He gave me a real bad look and almost looked as if he was going to attack me. That night there was no noise. The second night onwards it was back to normal. They didnt give a <deleted>. He used to give me many more bad looks Also 5 houses down they had 2 small crazy screaming dogs. They had them in cages all day in the heat under the carport. Ive never heard anything like that. We gave notice and moved on. Lesson... NEVER live in a moobahn village with rows of houses occupied by selfish middle class thais in Isan.- 105 replies

Did Trump bring shame upon the US with his Zelensky lecture?
ubonr1971 replied to spidermike007's topic in Political Soapbox
I agree with OP. Zelenski performed well against the 2 toughest Russian negotiators that Putin has. Actually its a relief that he didnt sign away Ukraines resources for the next 100 years. It would be great if he can broker a deal with Europes help and leave the US out of it. Som nom na.- 565 replies

I went into the local SCB because I had to get a bank draft. During this process I asked about getting a security deposit box. So the manager came over and started talking about life insurance with FWD insurance company. I told him Im not interested. I was under the impression that they have boxes available. 20min after the bank cheque was finished I was sent to the next desk to talk about the box. I showed my 150k a month salary, WP and existing scb bank account. But no she says 'its full'. Certainly a different message from 20min ago. Why didn't she tell me that when I first asked? Its very frustrating to be living in this backward thinking country. Winds me up sometimes living here- the games that are played.

After hearing about the American who lost 15mill in property at Hua Hin, I have since read about the Colin Vade case. An Irish man who lost 65million. He had a lease agreement and allegedly someone forged signatures and sold his properties. Why did he end up in prison. What is the history of this case of the dodgy deal in Phuket Its sad to see his daughter looking so depressed. Is Colin out of prison now? Its the first time I heard about this case. https://www.youtube.com/@Nip4V https://www.facebook.com/JusticeForJessieThailand/

I was there. I saw her face. Likely to be a man with boobs and hairy legs. As I said, if you are into that sort of thing up to you pal. -

so you are into the ladyboys are you? Whatever blows your hair back... up to you I suppose -
Anyone had any experience with Thai ladies who have hairy legs. Since residing here for 11 yrs, Ive had more than a few instances of seeing Thai girls with hairy legs and it grosses me out. I did a 5 yr teaching contract at a thai govt university and noticed a few girls who didn't shave. I don't know if they were just clueless or making a statement about their sexuality eg they are a ladyboy? The photo below is one I saw at a bar. She (or he) allowed me to take a photo of her long legs as long as I didn't show her face. I said to her after 'If there's grass on the wicket, then we can play cricket'. She didnt understand. She looked quite attractive in the face and upper body actually. But I think she (or he) might have been trans gender? Anyone ever had any experiences with this? Do you find it appealing or a compete turnoff? Happy new yr to you all.
