  1. good luck jesse, have a great time..im sure you will,a lad of your age will love it.i came very young for the first time a few years ago and its a different world.first thing you will notice is the laid back nature of life and the people(particulary in chiang mai)the people are fantastic and friendly.buddist country so they have so much respect and warmth towards you,you will be fighting off the women i assure you(if thats what you want, and it wont cost you).i live in england and regulary travel to land of smiles and am hooked on the place.iv done ibiza, spain, greece etc and they dont compare.why go to europe to bump into bar brawls and rowdy louts when you can go to thailand.just show respect and you will be buzzing.i cant wait to be back in dec/jan.forget the negative comments,99% would love to be in your shoes.enjoy...

  2. definately was last year at least 25 through the day.cooled off at night(thai girls wore coats!)but must have been 20c at night.like a very hot english summer night to me.i will be coming end of december, apparantly a bit cooler then.

  3. will be in chiang mai for november and was thinking of picking up some light trousers etc while im out there. is there anywhere in chiang mai you can get decent quality clothes that wont cost a fortune???

ive both too many designer fakes that you get <deleted> all wear out of off stalls, mostly shorts and tops but this time i just want decent quality trousers and tops so i dont stand out as a first time tourist or would i be better off buying at home??

Im a bit wary of them tailors, got some nice tops off one guy but it wasnt long before they were full of fluff and wore looking. Any suggestions, where do you do your shopping???

Lastly what range of temprature can i expect for november, 10-15 degrees maybe???

temperature will be somewhat higher than 10-15 in my experience in november.maybe 30c daytime 20ish on a night

  4. miss thailand may not be everyones cup of tea,but you guys who are having a go at her wouldnt say no if it was on a plate to most of you.imo she may not have deserved to have won,but she is alot more attractive than your average 'chavette' that is over running england at the moment.

You mean the blond with the fakes tits in your avatar? :D

doubt she is a chavette from england!.ever heard of hilary duff, pop star actress from the u s of a?

Ah, she is one of our "chavettes" than? :D

BTW, how old are you and why do you have a picture a of teen-pop star as your avatar? :D

im 22 ,why?am i not aloud to have a picture of a nice looking chick.

why do you have a picture of the joker, saying i will kill you?how old are you,if it really matters

The Joker and I have many things in common.

Duff is underage, you gotta pic of her as your avatar and calling her an actress.

underage?she is 18,16 is legal in england, its a picture thats all,im hardly with her am i,got a tidy girl of my own.not one of these dirty old men who go to los for one thing,i go with my g/f and if i didnt i wouldnt have to pay for it.this is going nowhere.we agree to differ

  8. you sound very clued up about the current scene, you are probably too modern for alot of places imo.example. bubble(most popular club in chiangmai),where the djs(term used lightly)play very cheesy eurotrance(usually well over a year old, probably just started playing eric prydz-call on me,to death),same order alot of nights, and get a great ovation from the very uncool farangs at the end of the night, from certain european countries who think dance music is about, scooter, ian van dahl etc and cheesy rip offs, not to mention the love song they always play at the end of night when the meat market begins.you will have a chance at the more discerning places in bangkok and maybe the islands.ever thought about the full moon parties(maybe they still play techo there, which i doubt is your thing).anyway good luck

  9. hi guys, will be coming back to cm late december/early jan.couple of questions please.

1st,iv been to chiangmai online discounter site.it states suriwongse hotel is 1100 a night at this time.now i dont really want to book online.if i just turn up at the hotel and want to stay here for 3 weeks, will i still get this price,or is it just an online price?

i stayed here during songkran at 1600 a night, but obviously higher prices for the festival.

also is chiangmai just as busy during january as it is around christmas

    thanks

  10. Does anyone have anything to say (good or bad) about the Suriwongse Hotel in C.M.? I noticed a smiley next to it in Rinrada's original post. Anyone else have any comments?

Hi,iv stayed at the suriwongse during songkran, very nice hotel, huge room.far better than downtown inn, star hotel where i stayed previously

  11. I usually land in bangkok from england at around 6 30 pm.go straight to domestic terminal, then i usually go to one2go or airasia and get a ticket for a flight around 8pm.costs around 1500 baht maybe 1700 top.i think its great to fly straight to chiang mai when land in bk to get the gruelling travelling over in one day.
