As a non American with no skin in this game, let me say to all the Trump followers on this forum, your opinion on this topic is irrelevant! You have no input in other nationalities opinion of your country. USA as existed pre-Trump is gone. America voted to follow a path toward a less influential future ceding that ground in other continents to China and in more limited areas to Russia. The political dynamic in the US is undergoing a dramatic shift from international hegemony to corporate {oligarchical ) interest. The former served the US & Western Europe very well for over 70 years. I have I idea if the new world order as proposed in Project25 is the way forward but cannot erase the feeling that the movement is for the benefit of the few at the expense of the many and that MAGA crowd will become collateral damage. p.s. Could I respectfully ask you not to reply about “winning” as it both moronic and unhelpful.

The logic of these tariffs is fatally flawed. Connecting them to trade reciprocality is a non starter. How can small and poor countries match trade with the USA dollar for dollar?

Let me give you an example. A 47% trade tariff on Madagascar! Madagascar exports nickel & vanilla to the US. The US is not able to produce anywhere near enough of its own nickel & vanilla requirements. Madagascar cannot import a reciprocal level of imports from the US - know why? Because there ain’t that many of them and it’s a poor f#(king country! Are you able to understand that?
