A fair level of IT know how is needed to complete the online application. For example to be able to resize files to less than 3mb. But to be fair to the London Embassy, in my application the file for my bank statement wasn’t acceptable as it needed to show both my name & address, they emailed me asking me to resubmit by email, which I did and the visa was approved within a couple of days.

I believe Air Asia are restarting HH to KL flights which we used pre-covid. Cost manageable as we enjoy our mini-holiday in KL. However, haven’t been able to find any flights as yet. Re: land border, is the Kanchanaburi border open now? Otherwise is the plan viable? Thanks for your response doc.

We are planning to stay in Thailand for 3 months next year, with the permission to stay for visa exempt entry recently extended to 45 days until 31st March. I would be grateful if the usual suspects could do a sense check on the following. Arrive BKK from UK early January, enter visa exempt. Stay in Hua Hin for 44 days then fly HH to KL, stay for 2 or 3 days then return to HH, again entering on visa exempt. 44 days later (early April) fly back to UK. Assuming Air Asia still fly to KL are there any pitfalls with this plan? Cheers.

I’m only looking to stay for 3 months. If I travel with a 60 day tourist visa, (intending to obtain a 30 days extension) would the fact that my return flight is after 89 days affect my ability to enter Thailand?

Non o based on retirement. Thanks for the responses. If I apply for the tourist visa can I extend at any Immigration Office, and is the extension automatic? i.e. are there any grounds on which it can be refused? I’m rightly sceptical of Thai bureaucracy. I’ll be based in Hua Hin.

Hi. Im looking to apply for non-Imm o visa for 3 month stay next January. However, going onto the Thai Embassy London webpage they are still requiring covid insurance of US$ 100,000. I thought this had been scrapped. Can anyone clarify?
