All data may well be logged digitally but realistically TIT! My visa is applied for and issued “online” but I’m still required to present a paper copy to the IO on entry. You are correct in your assertion that it could all be done automatically but in reality?

E gates at British airports are for UK passport holders only, I assume it will remain the same in Thailand as foreign passports have to be stamped with the visa expiry date.

We are renting a condo for 3 months, the owner is in Sweden so no TM30. We can produce a Property Rental Agreement and the person who looks after the property in their absence will sign as their agent. We will have to apply for a 30 day extension early March as our return flight is booked for 31st March. We will be applying at the Blueport IO in Hua Hin. Is there likely to be any issues? Would prefer not to have to go through the hassle of a border run.

Surely the whole point of Evisa is that it’s paperless and should have been accepted when your passport was scanned. I guess the IO simply picked up the wrong stamp. But good advice to check stamp before leaving the booth, it hadn’t occurred to me.

I’m coming to Thailand on a 60 day TV. Intend applying for 30 day extension at the end of February at Hua Hin IO. In my 12 previous stays of privately renting houses I’ve never been given a TM30. Will I need one for the extension application and how do I ensure my landlord supplies me with one? Previous stays were with 90 day visa so there was no need to visit IO. Thanks for advice.
