In Australia to see a GP costs me $60 after Medicare rebate , something like 5 minutes consultation . Blood tests are FREE by the Australian government though and I get a full blood test monthly But paying $60 just to see a doctor for 5 minutes is outrageous Mind you I paid the equivalent of $42 AUD to see Dr Oliver in Pattaya recently AND he wanted 1400 baht or around $65 AUD for a blood test !!!!! 1400 baht for a blood test ! -

Im going to be honest with you ,I took 7 weeks leave from my job . Pattaya made me depressed especially after 3 weeks The greatest happy moments was walking up & down the Manila subway last Monday & Tuesday night !!!!! Just the look on the passengers face as they looked up at me walking through the 8 carriages . I was dangling a set of keys in one hand patrolling like a police man , I felt good -

Does medication actually cure the depression or just treat it I remember years ago when I was working in the actual hospital wards in the Psych dept a guy came in and he had to have Shock treatment! I didn't know that still exists in Australia but it does Apparently he would lay days in bed without getting out ! I think they put electric stun gun to the side of your head I heard. -

This Pattaya YouTuber who was talking about it today is a bar owner and for some reason he has no idea why he is depressed? This is chemically imbalance,is it not ? -
I just watched a famous Pattaya YouTuber admit he has depression, and was on medication. One would envy his life and wonder why So let's talk about is depression REAL? I want to tell you guys I travelled to Manila Philippines last week Last Wednesday I ordered a Grab from my hotel to the Manila North cemetery,a place where people live Every song playing in a Grab in the Philippines is usually slow 1980's music and Air Supply or similar The driver doesn't even acknowledge me and the radio is on playing Air Supply," just as I am" song As soon as I get to Manila North cemetery there is more old sad 1980's music playing, Anyway I walk thru the gates to see people living in maseolums or crypts they look happy and well dressed They look at me staring ,there are signs no photos I start to imagine sadness and I start crying People were looking at me I really sorry for these people I see a guy and this is no joke sitting on a crypt wearing a 711 uniform well dressed I felt sadness he must live in a grave room and work at 711 I walk up to him ," Do 711 know you live in here and work there ? Without even saying what? He immediately said Yes Sir I started to feel emotional and the manager of the cemetery at the gates seem to be concerned about me as I left crying he asked me if I was ok coming out of his tinted air conditioning office as others are forced to live in grave tombs ,glasses around his nose ,are you ok sir ? I hate this in the Philippines being called that I have no idea about if this was depression? I feel depression is not real and others factors, such as real sadness in the heat of the moment I find if I don't get my 250mg testereone shot monthly I feel sad ,down ,sad music line air supply goes thru my head Is depression real ??

The foreigners Farangs who fall in love and start buying houses ,giving money to uncles aunties etc The hero mentality is a dead-end road that doesn't earn appreciation, it earns the label of being a fool. Money is appreciated at first, then it's expected, then it becomes dependent upon and entitled. The shift through those phases happens pretty fast.
-
He is talking mostly about foreigners who come to Philippines who meet a lady online and then arrive there and buy her whole family houses etc after knowing her online They are not making LOGICAL decisions, they are making EMOTIONAL decisions Same as example a correctional officer writes that number 2 reason people are in jail is because they couldn't control their emotions ,had they stopped and never reacted to their IMPULSE then they wouldn't be in jail
-
Just watching YouTuber Paul in the Philippines and he talks about failures of expats because "Lack of impulse control" And what is lack of impulse control He gives examples buying things you don't need ,giving money to extended families etc But it seems most guys are in jail because of lack of impulse control I will give you a example, I opened up a glass door the other day in Pattaya to walk into the building, a group of young male Indian students decide me opening the door was a sign they could exit so they pushed past me , couldn't wait for me to come in I'm in the doorway , so I stopped one guy and told him the bad manners ,now things could of turned nasty I could of threw a punch ,b The consequences, so lack of impulse control Control it ! If your a expat ,Control your lack of impulses !!!!!

It does Ralfy....but is it challenging, that's the question ❓ and my job is not .I have a boring job mopping floors in a old big hospital .so as I get older I need to challenge ,take risks ,are you challenging yourself? Are you taking a different direction sometimes to get out of your comfort zone? -

Look as I walked up & down the Manila's Subway 8 or train carriages at late night , I was a little in fear ,as many of the late night workers would glance up at their phones as I walked back and forth but the challenge was completed and I did it And I felt a sense of achievement, 2 nights in a row all the way from the toughest toughest subway stations to the nicer ones ,I felt great as I swung my keys back and forth as I walked through many looking up at me weirdly My question still remains please are you challenging yourself whether that be physically, intellectuallly or spiritually? -
Now I'm getting old and ready to retire one day I have been doing things to challenge myself Bored with Pattaya I decided a few days in Manila Philippines I heard it was supposed to be dangerous So the other night I decided to "patrol" ,walk up and down on the Manila City LRT which is there SkyTrain from the first station of the line to the end station of the line this was near midnight to closing time I wanted to challenge myself and place myself in any challenging situations, unfortunately or fortunately 2 nights in a row of "patrolling "Manila's subway at night I only had people either say hello or look away into their phones but it challenged me made me a stronger person Are you a stagnant old man or achieving challenges? Place yourself into challenges as you get older instead of doing nothing ! Please I would love to hear from you guys who climb mountains ,do very long bike rides ,cycle races long distance, etc
