georgegeorgia replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I hate Xmas day and for those of us old we sometimes have bad memories Also my brother used to be a policeman in Australia, every Xmas day it was calls out to family fights at Xmas family parties , old uncle Joe gets drunk has a fight with Uncle Ben he hasn't seen since 1974 etc They call the cops then don't want to lay charges Same with domestics in Xmas day all getting drunk and fighting -

Alcohol related Xmas day?😂 -
Well.xmas is before us again I often think of those of you who are single expats whether your in Thailand Philippines or Cambodia who this special day you will be with or will you be by yourself . I remember a few years ago visiting a friend in the sad Nirun Apartments in Pattaya ,walking through the dark sad corridors to see the apartment doors open and a lonely old shirtless farang laying in the Bed with a bottle all by himself So wherever you are in the World what's your plans Xmas day? For those in Asia and single do you plan on going to a bar Xmas dinner?

Bus accident in Prachuap Khiri Khan: 14 dead, 35 injured
georgegeorgia replied to webfact's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am News
Absolutely! I watched earlier this year two old farangs trample up the hill in Jomtien to the bus station heaving luggage bags behind them in heat sweating puffing panting to catch a bus to the airport A few nights earlier I had seen them in every bar wasting money even ringing the bell ! -
Sometimes life is luck . Some people die earlier some don't ,some of its "luck"

Why don't you take some action to stop the Pattaya road accidents as you seem to hate anyone bagging Pattaya Since I made this post you haven't done anything constructive to stop the road accidents there ! It's no use denying it ,you haven't,you could of gone out with a sign to slow down or whatever.. but you done nothing , admit it , it's no use denying you have done something because you have done nothing ,why don't you admit that? People here are not easily fooled

I have come to the conclusion nothing can be done for the upteen road accidents. Absolutely nothing but using your own risk management to avoid or minimise your own self being involved Even if you were the Mayor or Police traffic chief ,what can be done ? Better enforcement ? Does that work? To have police with a speed radar ,to have more Highway patrol police like Chips ? Or Breath tests? Or ... better education, what would work ! Oh it's too hard....

Another selfish post from you ! Last one was a few months ago where you didn't bother to make a check on the Mercedes Benz gathering dust at the Nirun Condo's! This time the guys legs twisted is completely devoid of your sympathy!
-
I was walking and waiting to cross second road and they were at the traffic lights revving it up ,then they took off and up ahead I heard the loudest bang until I walked past same couple that were revving up the bike earlier Just the legs were facing the other way ,his stomach was flat down but both feet facing up. Add them to the list of probably thousands in Pattaya since !
-
Another one I witnessed was on the corner of second Rd and south Pattaya Rd where a Thai guy with female workmate on the back ,revving up his engine before taking off at full speed past Tukcom before head on into a car When I looked at their bodies the guy legs were turned right around ,his upper body was facing the road but the legs were around up , does that mean he broke his hip ? They were both dead obviously

I just read 24 people lost their lives in a bus accident in Pattaya Ok I understand road accidents are everywhere but this is getting out of hand in Thailand I was just reading a forum in Phuket where expat farangs are complaining there is no police presence on the roads especially around Xmas time when all the young people visit from UK , Australia etc and go berserk driving a motorcycle at full speed Yes ,there will be farangs who don't know it yet ,but will die in Thailand in December, various reasons but ... mostly their own fault! I noticed this in Pattaya someone full throttle down a Soi late at night , thinking their invincible I guess many Pattaya expats know personally someone who has been killed I seen a few , I saw a ladyboy on a MB taxi both legs dangling over one side like she was sitting on a banana chair scrolling thru her phone before a farang on a motorbike spoed past her hitting her legs and knocks her and hit off the motorbikes ,he had no helmet in and is head was split open bleeding

No thanks Have you ever watched Amagansett press on YouTube? Look at his last video last week where he takes a photo of the Sock shop only get to into a fight with not only the owner but passersby Of course he does it on purpose to get a reaction
-
Depends what they're whinging about I guess Everytime I went to that Canterbury tales bookshop there was always a group of pommy farangs saying the same thing "The immigrant in the UK get free housing etc etc , whilst elderly have no electricity etc I could recite word for word what that were going to talk about before I got in there !

I would be more interested in the "type" of people at that time especially on a weekend morning near disco 's bars that are closing etc 🥳 You probably get some happy drunks though wanting to be photographed 😂

Your one would be interesting, watching you sit at a desk typing on ASEAN all day ! You could do a commentary You could set up a bell type of sound when someone responds to your post and run across the room to the computer and shout " someone has responded ! -

Love it 👍 May I ask do you ever get people who shout at you what are you filming for ? Or ask you if you are taking photos of them etc I say this because I watch these "audit" youtubers such as DJ and Amagansett press who purposely stand in a street and take pictures of people walking by hoping they get angry and then film them and say " Photography is not a crime ! -

People going "Bananas". Here is proof.
georgegeorgia replied to swissie's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
People copy social media Even in my gym young people are using the word "bro" They see this word on social media, the word "mate " is no longer used Generation Z the new one are learning by this tik tok and Instagram influencers by getting tribal tattoos, going to the gym ( to take selfies) and wearing red sneakers and carrying man bags around with them People need guidance so they watch these influencers on Instagram and start mimicking them -

The OP is absolutely right More people now seem to be in this meth )ice They can't cope with life especially this new generation They see these vloggers influencers in Facebook and Instagram with muscles and tribal tattoo travel the world drinking protein powder leading what looks like a exciting life only for themselves to go to work everyday in a office or factory so they become depressed one farang vlogger on YouTube from Phuket with his tribal tatts , etc was charging $300 an hour for his counselling, he has no qualifications except life experience and was booked out he said !!! They resort to alcohol and drugs ,same with these people at my workplace in their 60's who are locked into a marriage they hate ,do they stay at work to escape -
Just got me thinking as we get older and retired that we start our hobbies or interests that we put off over life. I noticed in posts there was a lot of photographers on here , seems to a majority, that's not something that interests me ,but what interested me is what they like to photograph. A poster on here rises in the early hours to take pics of "street life" in the early hours in Thailand. I had a Thai tourist visit me in Australia in 2011 we drive up to the Blue Mountains ,he wasn't interested in that ,he was interested in stopping near rural properties to take pics of......wait for it..... Their postal letterboxes !!!! I was just watching Steve Rosse old farang YouTuber who lives in Turtle Beach phuket , his hobby is making paper mache of......turtles and photography them , he mentions he once took a year after work every afternoon to photo every street sign in Arizona What is it with photography, vlogging ,selfies etc that interest you I'm thinking how immature but ..... especially a man of his age late 60's We all have a new weird interest...in photography, whether that be selfies etc I guess But this new generation are obsessed with vlogging and photography, even in the gym etc I just started doing boxing a few times a week to have my young nephew ask me if I had photos of the training ,like it's normal to start taking photos in a boxing gym Is anyone into this new "vlogging ? Not photos ,but where I see them walking around with the camera talking to themselves How much of this should we put up with before it invades our privacy ,some farang eg in Pattaya riding around on a push bike ....vlogging !! What about drone hobby ? Any interest, this drone hobby is taking off ,why ?
