neeray replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I've never had an attempted scam effort from my Facebook account. But then I've never had a Facebook account either. -

The red light district in all its forms are sure to embrace this initiative. They'll give it a "head" up. (Correction: heads up) -

Good comment. Much more pleasant than the ones who accused me of speculating (which I was NOT). -

I was NOT speculating. Having been on this forum for close to 10 years, I know how people jump to conclusions on things. I figured some members would do this about this piece of back yard junk that came ashore. I also recognize that there are a lot of miserable old men on AN who just love to argue. I read comments where it's obvious some expats are either bored or angry at the world and just love to argue. Pity them. -

I'm surprised that you didn't say anything about the "hand-offs" required at each step (aka, envelopes. The higher up the ladder, the fatter they get)

In the words of another failed politician (and former president) in another well known country, "we'll see, we'll see how it goes". -
Thaksin suffering “fatigue and stress” in hospital : Paetongtarn
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'm older than yo are Mr. Thaksin and walk my dog at a brisk pace some 15 or 20 km every day, rain or shine, warm or cold. Yeah, I get a bit tired in the evening. But no need for a bunch of doctors and/or hospital stays. Just get up and do it again the next day. The only thing missing for me is a small chunk of your billions, then, life would be perfect for me. Get yourself a dog (if you get a pardon). -

Note to Paetongtarn ........... The Covid cop out is old and tired, worn out, just doesn't cut it anymore. Have Daddy speak to his handlers to dream up a new line. -

Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
To demonstrate to the common folk that the law is applied equally to all, Thaksin needs to serve his 8 years. Ok, let him out in 2 or 3 years if good behaviour. That includes NOT meddling in politics. -

It could be done as an extra-curricular activity. Same way I and many others learned to swim. -
Nigerian and 13 Thais arrested for operating romance scam
neeray replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There must be a sh*t load of palatial estates in Nigeria. The vast amount of scammers that I hear and read about are Nigerian. Surely it can't all be done by just one kingpin. If so, he/she must be a trillionaire by now.
