Hun Sen has sold out Cambodia to the Chinese.
At least he "sold" out!
Better than a neighbouring country that might just "give" it all away.

Make it a post to remember! Hurl foul abuse at every Mod and any poster that has crossed you in the past years... ????
He should do that at 99,999 and then there'd be no effort required for the 100,000th. He's be on a long holiday.

Good to read this. Just an hour or two ago, I was wondering what is happening in this case.

Tasks would include collecting firewood and nuts, killing game and growing vegetables. Everyone would do guard duty.
No need to kill game, maybe no need to cook it either. If the apocalypse was nuclear, the game will already be cooked (well done) and as for the vegetables, fallout will make Roundup seem more like salad dressing.

Years ago when my father was running his business in London he sent out tiny christmas cards in big envelopes to his customers and suppliers the message inside read :-
"Money's short, times are hard,
Here's your f.....g christmas card"
I was a bit shocked but it went down well apparently.
Your father had a great sense of humour @soalbundy.
He sounds like he was a down to earth man who was not shy to call a spade a spade.
Have warm thoughts of him. Times are still tight and getting tighter.

I don't mind if they swear in period series but it has to be appropriate to those times. Adding modern swear words instead of those actually used in that period is just being lazy.
Was the F-bomb not around at that time? Serious question, not sure when it became popularized.

With all his billions that he stole from you too, he can run very fast without risk and live where he wants in this world.
You have enough examples and I don't think he should list them!
If there should be another coup, he can easily escape, we can't!What a completely ridiculous pile of hogwash your post is.
And about this statement of your's, "........ he can run very fast without risk and live where he wants in this world." He's already living where he wants. But he is putting his life on the line, and a target on his temple, to make Thailand a better place for the vast majority of Thais.

In a casual conversation with a real estate person yesterday (refers to herself as a "land broker") in the BKK vicinity, she spoke of difficulty putting deals together currently. Her verbatim quote "but the economy is not good, difficult trading" and further stated "because the military government was not accepted, investors do not dare to risk".
That seems to be the general message that I hear. So yes, Thanathorn's rallies may very well grow in popularity.

Thai people are charged Bt20 for adults and Bt10 for children while foreigners pay Bt100.
As noted above, foreigner price is a 500% premium.
20 baht for Thai
100 baht for foreigners.
That's a real baht bath !

Personally I think Pattaya is in danger of becoming a ghost town. If the recent collapse in clientele of the bars and restaurants continues then we will see closures and once that process starts it can be self feeding...a death spiral....fewer places to go and less buzz will mean even fewer visitors and then even more closures and then even fewer visitors. Who will want to visit Pattaya once all of its buzz has gone? Even the Chinese wont want to. What happens when the hotels start going bust? Imagine Pattaya with half its sois boarded up and empty...thats the future its headed for.
Success breed success. Failure breeds failure. I know which of those looks more likely.
This sounds like one of those American, one-industry ghost towns that is now all blowing sand and tumble weed.
Problem is, there won't be anything to "blow" in Pattaya.
Just Danny.

Maybe a Pattaya family vacation would present a great opportunity for father to have a talk with adolescent son.
Father ... "Son, I want to talk to you about sex".
Son ... "Sure Dad, what do you want to know?".

Suggestion: New Years at Colin's.
BYOB. Lots of pyrotechnics. Open exhaust motorbike race on his street.
Bring sleeping bag in case too drunk to drive. All loud-speakers welcome.
Wife (Colin's) will ring loud bell for Thai-style breakfast at 6:00 AM. She will feed you and then tell you "go home noisy farang, you too silly".

“Which defeat the purpose of physical training” he says.
I disagree. I see dual duty. Protest by running and exercise the body at the same time. Win/win.

That's a distinct possibility. But there should be lots of unbiased witness reports that will eventually surface.

IMO, with decades of personal boat ownership and boat driving experience, it would seem to me that neither one was prepared to "give way" until it was too late.
Either one should have been able to predict a possible collision.

You are totally correct @worgeordie. Bartering is the exchange of this for that (much like that overheard word of late "quid pro quo").
What the OP is describing is "bargaining".

I'll guess he smelled real sweet (or should that be sweat?). They could probably hear his stomach growling from a hundred metres away.

Christianity Today again slams Trump, raises issue of 'unconditional loyalty'

Agreed. Then in that case, they shouldn't have got involved with him in the first place.
It always did look like strange bedfellows to me.
If Trump is a good Christian, that makes me a Saint (555, me a Saint).
