So it's okay to censure any previous "elected" government or censure the current "elected" government of 5 short months but it's not okay to censure the 5 year "period" of self appointed military rule (previous administration as he refers to it).
And it's okay to attempt to abolish a "truly elected" opposition party.
Hmm .... I must check Wiki for the definition of "hypocracy".

Many whom I see today are beltless and the crotch is close to the knees. The rear of the underwear is in full view, the rear of the jeans below the underwear.
NOT a pretty site.

I would think that the online operators will just open up in another country. The net is EVERYWHERE.

With all the fuss about plastic bags I felt like venting about my personal bugbear: restaurants / bars where the only water on offer is ridiculously over-priced imported brands, like Evain, Panna Cotta, Bidet etc etc
I'm thinking the "Bidet" brand that you mention might be quite tasty. Good to the last drop!

No, prices have gone up, food quality has got worse, air quality is dangerous to health. corruption is still rampant even though he promised to stop it. Nothing to be happy about.
And it sounds like many new or increased taxes are about to be implemented (must finance all those army toys).
And many Thais are discontent with strong arm governing (like abolishing FFP).

If the government put as much effort into running the country as they do manipulating the system,
Thailand would be in a much more positive state.

The above statement instantly reminds me of the last century McDonald's commercial,
"We Do It All For You".
I used to chuckle every time I heard or read that line.

Here are a few of my posts, praising Thailand, and the Thai people and women.
Good rebuttle @spidermike007. I too have been attacked by this particular member (as I recall, can't be bothered to look, he sent me a PM opposing my comments about a certain well known, outspoken politician whom many refer to as a buffoon).

I doubt this guy is going to last the year out. If the EU turns against him and the river runs dry he will run. Hes already shifted all his money out and has passports in other countries. He will cling on but sooner or later he will get a spike up his ass or be hung from a power pole

I know a person in CM who has an immaculate, not too old, single home for sale, somewhere around H D. She is looking for 2.8. I've seen many pictures, it's beautiful and from what I can tell, all top notch material and maintenance.
PM me if you wish to know more.

As a rotten, brat, daredevil kid, I did every stupid "young and dumb" thing imaginable with firecrackers. Somehow, I still have all body parts, eyesight and hearing.
Perhaps in my twenties when I started a family, I seemed to oppose personal use. Let the experts put on the show. Today, I see all forms of pyrotechnics as nothing but a waste of money.
And too many nights on too many occasions, I can't even take my dog out to empty her bladder as she is scared skinny of the big bang.
Rant over!

It seems like "Need to Know" basis may work best. The master of immigration information has spoken.
Come to think of it, I only ever handed over my passport and departure card (?). Always 5 minute clearance. Never any questions (maybe it's my good looks ????).

It's an easy win for supermarkets to say "ooh look, we don't provide plastic bags any more, we're doing our bit to tackle climate change" while at the same time wrapping everything in single-use plastic (nothing like seeing 'organic' imported fruit in supermarkets here wrapped in plastic, in a foam wrap, in a hard plastic punnet ...
I use supermarket bags as pedal bin rubbish bags instead of buying pedal bin rubbish bags.
Personally I would prefer that retail outlets charged say THB 1 for each single-use bag, to go to a government fund for environmental protection (yes, I know, I know, dream on etc) - something analagous to the State Oil Fund into which each litre of petrol/diesel sold makes a contribution - instead of not offering them at all, and trying to get you to buy their over-priced 'bags for life'.
As with so much in life, not clear cut.
This is how it is done in "adult" countries. But the government doesn't siphon off the proceeds.
