Thailand is awashed with illegal firearms and munitions, I'd say especially with its many retired (convicted?) Consider also the general Thai experience with a decades insurgency running in the South, current civil war in Mynamar and Thailand's propensity for military coups.

Allows funding the American economy that results in massive national economic stimulus opportunities, virtual full employment low inflation, etc. As the US economy is the largest and one of wealthiest in the world, China and other foreign investors in the US share in its burgeoning wealth.
