  1. So obvious but EU had ignored emerging Russian fascism using military aggression to grow its "empire." Already Putin directly threatens EU and fringe countries not to resist its political demands. Putin clearly indicates threats to EU security but all the while the EU was purchasing Russian oil and gas. Not now and EU has the energy backup from the US and allies. 20 percent is a minimum and maybe 35 percent more effective.
  2. I don't know if he was scuba diving but if he was doing so and didn't pay attention to dive time or depth, he may have suffered from decompression by surfacing too quickly. Presence of a dive master should be mandatory.
  3. Sad that all one needed was insulated handles. For an electrician should be a standard tool.
  4. Russia's inflation rate is expected to be higher than Thailand's in 2024 Russia 8–8.5% by the end of 2024 vs Thailand 0.6% in 2024 In October 2024, the Bank of Russia raised its key interest rate to 21%, a record high that surpassed the 20% rate set in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The Bank of Thailand's key interest rate, the 1-day repurchase rate, was 2.5% in April, June, and August 2024. This economic imbalance does not favor significant trade with Russia. Look elsewhere Thailand.
  5. Trump sued convicted Michael Cohen for $500 million in reprisal for Michael's testimony implicating Trump in a crime. As the defendent Cohen demanded a live deposition from Trump and certain documents/emails. Trump continously refused until the court ordered him to appear to give testimony. Next day Trump drops the lawsuit. Trump litigates to intimidate people. That also indirectly affects ANYONE who have been harmed or scammed by Trump.
  6. Every faith has its dollops of blind/fantacism beliefs. Unsurprisingly, religious cultism doesn't ultimately bode well for people's security and individual aspirations (freedom). You cannot really side with one religion as the correct faith above all others. They are all flawed.
  7. Went to get it- Not a legal approach that anyone would comply. Naive expectation to walk away with a £220,000 vehicle based on say so.
  8. The problem in Thailand seems to be that the very agencies created to detect and prosecute crimes are themselves corrupt. Thus, these surprise arrests. Country needs independent investigative prosecurial inspectors perhaps drawn from public nominations rather than from government insider agencies.
  9. I'm sure DARPA is developing robotic weapons. Ukraine is using machine gun wheeled robots to attack Russian trenches.
  10. Humans set the work parameters. The robot would need free will to optimize its work as it sees fit.
  11. This will be noted and celebrated by the UN Human Rights Commission that it made the right decision to re-admit Thailand. Thailand's citizen grant process will then be "cast in iron" and any attempt for reversal will dishonor Thailand's standing in UNHRC.
  12. Really don't see that Cuba as a small communist economy that seems more in need of investment support than what it can sustain. But like Thailand, intangible tourism has been its way to higher GDP than found in most Latin American countries. Open relations with a liberal democratic American government could further its tourism from Latinos in the US.
  13. "Respected" as to its danger to Americans, not in honor. US Treasury’s designation of the entire Russian mafia network as a “Transnational Criminal Organization” is the first measure that treats them as a single group. That triggers RICO criminal prosecution. As a TCO Washington seems to be confirming that the threat posed by the fabled “Russian mafia” from the former Soviet republics is a more organized one than previously supposed.
  14. Better to give to average/disadvantaged Americans than to egomaniac Billionaires, ie., POTUS Trump tax cuts for "my rich friends." As Trump has said, give me a billion dollars and I'll rewrite and eliminate and economic policy a billionaire desires. Best buddies Musk and Bezos.
  15. So long as Russia engages in war for GDP and not normal international trade, BRIC will be crippled. Russia's central bank has hiked the key interest rate by 200 basis points to a record-high 21% in a bid to fight inflation, fuelled by military spending. Russian government spending on the military strains the economy’s capacity to produce goods and services - and drives up workers’ wages. Not to mention available workforce in all industries is being stripped for the war and paying absurd mercenary payments to any citizen regardless of incompetence skills (thieves, murders, insane, medically challenged) weakens Russia's industrial complex. India, China need to persuade Putin to stop wars. But Putin has declared nothing stands in the way of a soviet empire.
  16. Not surprisingly. Claimant should have filed theft with police, presenting his evidence for a investigation. His actions seem suspicious.
  17. I have always suspected the Swiss Man presence in Thailand as sinister, running what I would call a faux elephant sanctuary. Filled by supposed leased elephants "pigging" back on a real independent legitimate sanctuary of the same address. To what end? Does he get the status of an NGO that shields him from immigration and Thai corporate laws? That might shield any wealth or funneling riches from government corruption oversight, ie., bribes. If he were brought to trial a subpoena and deposition might reveal more about his wealth than he'd care to show, ie., at any cost?
  18. Yes, Thailand living in the past glories of government by the military/elitists was so productive, ie., as a third world country. But Thai People really deserve a wealthier and freer future of a developed nation.
  19. Reminds me of an old American soap episodes of "As The World Turns" and "Peyton Place."
  20. A former mercenary trying to stay in Thailand selling ammo that a mercenary might have access. What' the question? Thailand is awashed with illegal firearms and munitions, I'd say especially with its many retired (convicted?) Thai Military and police for which there seems little accountability of their pre-post possession and access to weapons. Consider also the general Thai experience with a decades insurgency running in the South, current civil war in Mynamar and Thailand's propensity for military coups.
  21. As a side note, Trump buys his USA bibles from China at $3 each, sells in the US at $60.
  22. Incorrect. Allows funding the American economy that results in massive national economic stimulus opportunities, virtual full employment low inflation, etc. As the US economy is the largest and one of wealthiest in the world, China and other foreign investors in the US share in its burgeoning wealth. BRIC doesn't like such dollarization success but more than willing to share in economic growth.
  23. CitiBank left Bangkok years ago for better hi-value customers in Signapore. But UOB filled the void for abandoned CitiBank account holders.
  24. Wonder why Mary Trump isn't invited to a Trump event? Eminently qualified psychologist who is professionally certified to comment on Trump's mental decline.
