  1. And I wonder about similar driving accident on the developing Rama 2 elevated highway that at several areas appear 100 meters above the ground. If the whole vehicle ejects over the side, seat belts and air bags will be meaningless. You might think surely the highway side barriers will contain a vehicle from going over. But a vehicle might be ejected over the barrier resulting from a clash with one or more vehicles (especially 16 wheelers)?
  2. If true, that's BS. Find an attorney or government representative to contact the Governor and file a complaint.
  3. Atlantic City has world class casinos, so no.
  4. It's called advancing in age, ie., 60+. Why don't 't you research the topic instead of speculating?
  5. Freedom of religion. Albeit, just another form of a cult just as all religions tend to be.
  6. Trivial issue. The POTUS can put whatever he wants in the Oval Office. Pictures of family and friends are common.
  7. I never understood government's resistance to pay the debt that was clearly contractual and enforceable. I don't recall the amount of the original debt but the interest rate for nonpayment built up quickly. The governor and city counsel should personally bear the cost of interest (ie., not passing it on to citizens through any taxation or budgetary reductions). And/or perhaps resign.
  8. Check 7/11's. I get the Caesar Salad clear box with a small Caesar dressing package, 8 small croutons and small amount of chicken. No parmeson grated cheese but you can buy that separately at like Villa Market or Tops Online.. There are other kinds of salads. Various lettuce cuts are fresh. Cost is 50 baht. Maybe not at all 7/11's.
  9. Oh I agree, including the Malay Muslim Kingdom of Patani. But superpower Great Britain in that time controlled annexations in SE Asia had other ideas about who got which of the small Muslim Kingdom's as it wanted trade noncompetitive trade agreements with all the small Muslim Kingdom's.
  10. Northern states of Malaysia ( Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis ) were in the past vassal states of Siam ( now Thailand ). Thailand relinquished its claims to the northern states in the Anglo-Siamese Treaty of 1909. https://www.quora.com/Why-isn’t-Southern-Thailand-part-of-Malaysia-It-has-a-similar-ethnicity-culture-and-religion Territory was not "lost" but willingly transferred.
  11. Notice does not mention Malay Muslim insurgents who would be escaping Thailand. They do escape into the jungle areas bordering Thailand and Malaysia to avoid Thai military. But according to Malaysia (as I recall several years ago), many Malay Muslim insurgents receive dual Malaysian citizenship and can enter Malaysia legally. In the past Thai government has asked Malaysia for a list of such people but denied.
  12. "Yes, climate change is linked to an increased likelihood of earthquakes: Rising sea levels The rise in sea levels caused by climate change increases hydrostatic pressure underground, which can lead to changes in seismic cycles. Storms Extreme weather events like hurricanes can cause a release of energy in the Earth's crust, leading to earthquakes." Citation for example: "More earthquakes due to global warming," 05/29/2024 - https://www.gfz-potsdam.de/en/press/news
  13. False. The US has been the leading nation to quickly lend US technology, weapons and money to Ukraine to counter Russian invasion. Well, except when Trump was POTUS who wanted to trade US javelins necessary to stop Russian tanks for political "dirt" on Biden's bid for POTUS. Well, having presidential immunity as granted by the USSC, he didn't call in Seal Team Six to resolve Republican "issues." But Biden is POTUS until January 20th, so who knows?
  14. The state prosecution relies on the recommendations of state grand juries to prosecute. If the grand jury says no sufficient grounds for prosecution, the prosecution cannot legally proceed to prosecute.
  15. This won't work with blood cancers that reside in the bone marrow.
  16. A Chinese consulate in Pattaya would further contribute to Thai-Chinese diplomacy. Same goes for Russia and India.
  17. Lack of evidence. It's the flag that got him convicted.
  18. And Thailand will pay for it!
  19. I would hope the Court defines what and how a constitutional monarchy operates under the rule of law. The questions might then become in part, is Thaksin considered part of the Thai electorate (typically under representation with a political party) that defines the rule of law. For example, the Constitution of Thailand states that "the sovereign power of Thailand belongs to the Thai people."
  20. Might there be an element of global warming in these increasing events? No one nation can prevent its effects.
  21. Where was the local community to help the farmer knowing his hardships? But maybe providing some occasional volunteer help would have prevented this tragedy - but volunteer without bring paid? Inconceivable.
  22. Cost is Irrelevant. Preservation of the power and sovereignty of the electorate should be Supreme. Better recognition to the sovereignty of the electorate to decide the form of government. Then maybe this can lead to a better understanding to what Thailand's Constitutional Monarchy means in terms of electoral power.
  23. A stab in the back for human rights. Thailand's (alleged) Human Rights Commission's recent accreditation with the UNHRC should immediately be withdrawn.
