  1. Where do you see "illegal" aliens? True Trump doesn't distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants but the federal government does. The immigrants transferred by governors of Texas and Florida to other parts of the US were all legal immigrants, albeit temporary while their request for asylum and other mitigating factors are under review by immigration judges under the Department of Homeland Security. But MAGA only see illegals when not white (Caucasian).
  2. Call Lazada, I have 020180000 as contact number. They sent me a link for the refund, transferred I think to my Thai bank account. After that I got the E-Wallet (some purchases you'll get "coins" using the Wallet) that connects with my K+ App from my bank. You have to be careful about clothing/shoe sizes. What I gather from Lazada return policy, if you get the size wrong (too small or too big) and not Lazada, no refund.
  3. If allegations are true, the entire National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) should immediately be fired and replacements selected by Parliament. Remember a few years ago ( post 2014) significant corruption in the Department of Education principals that was only identified by whistle-blowers? Not by any government agency.
  4. "They" being the Malay Muslims were at Peace with the Kingdom of Thailand. The catch-all Kingdom of Siam beginning with the Sukhothai Kingdom (1238–1351); Ayutthaya Kingdom (1351–1767); Thonburi Kingdom (1768–1782); Rattanakosin Kingdom (1782–1932) has been an aggressor colonizing state until 1932 wherein the Kingdom military overthrew the monarchy.
  5. Unlikely. America is now a net exporter of fossil fuels at a time when global conflicts have led to increased prices. US is independent of OPEC oil price increases. US gasoline prices if and when US refineries owned by Saudi Arabia (thanks to son-in-law Kushner and then POTUS Trump who pushed for the sale) try to price gouge the US consumers, the government has the authority to mitigate such an event. That's not to say other countries may suffer higher prices.
  6. Named in TIME-100 Next Influential List Who will it be next year or even next quarter? Thailand now is the Hub of Dishonorable Governments.
  7. The "enemy" you refer to are the Malay Muslims who peacefully occupied their sovereign Muslim Kingdom of Patani until the Kingdom of Thailand broke its peace treaty with invasion, occupation and annexation by Thailand. I doubt the RTM, ISOC and "volunteers" (aka paramilitary) are composed of Malay Muslims but rather Buddhist invaders.
  8. Potential prosecution of the driver and/the bus company is not enough. DLT should not get a pass allowing high count passenger buses on the road without rigorous frequent certifications.
  9. So while BoT has talked about dedollarizinIng and joining BRIC as the foundation currencies for international transactions, it has yet to actually dedollarize. That makes sense not to do so especially if Thailand wants to be a "Currency Hub" for Southeast Asia. Looking at the currencies of BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates), what do any of them aside from China's yuan have any trade relevance in Southeast Asia?
  10. The bill hadn't and will not pass unless Democrats support it which they will not
  11. And every Russian Oblast
  12. According to senior researcher at the Thailand Development Research Institute Nichamon Thongphat, if a bus is catorized as an "informal" bus (not a public bus) it is not regulated by the Department of Land Transportation requiring registration. I'd think that when used to transport vulnerable school children, such vehicle must be registered and annually inspected for children's safety. The subject bus appears to be a "double decker." Until a horrific fatality accident of a double decker bus in March 2018 in which 18 people were killed and more than 30 injured, operators of double decker buses were required to have LTD confirm safety standards. Following that accident LTD stopped accepting new registrations of double decker buses. "Land Transport Department to Stop Registering New Double-decker buses," April 2, 2018 https://www.huahintoday.com/ So was the subject bus unregistered? And as such uninsured?
  13. Immediately followed by a "tactical retreat" for the 10% of troops remaining alive.
  14. Come on Russians, there must be at least one window open in the Kremlin.
  15. Are you voting from overseas? If Trump looses the election you will be blamed. Overseas voters are the latest target in Trump's false narrative on election fraud. Donald Trump this week falsely accused Democrats of cheating their way to a win in November, using a bipartisan 1986 act to claim without evidence that anyone overseas can get a ballot emailed to them, even if they’re not eligible to vote. By Melissa Goldin, Associated Press September 26, 2024
  16. Early voting is encouraged by the RNC but not by your god-king Trump even as he votes early in Florida. Donald Trump has flip-flopped more on early voting than practically any other issue. The result is a Republican base that has no idea what to believe. Donald Trump dismissed early voting as "stupid" but nevertheless encouraged voters in Pennsylvania to cast ballots as soon as possible...Issued on: 09/24/2024 Despite Trump's objections he recognizes the advantage Democrats have had in recent elections with early voting, so his campaign has been encouraging Republicans to cast ballots before election day.
  17. Measured against other currencies can be confusing in terms of sustainable living. COLA adjustments to annual income US Social Security has averaged about 2.6% over the past 20 years; it even remained stagnant (0.0%) in 2010, 2011 and 2016. Then 8.7% in 2023, 3.2% adjustment in 2024 and expected 2.56% for 2025. Compared to Thailand's lower inflation rates, US retirement in Thailand based on Social Security benefits in recent years appears generally advantageous. More so for US federal pensions based on the Civil Service Retirement System Civil that is adjusted annualy based on US Social Security COLA. To quote Alfred E. Neuman: "What, me worry?"
  18. I believe he was appointed by the National Police Commission whose Chairman is the Prime Minister. The NPC is not a PM Cabinet position that requires Royal endorsement. But PM position does.
  19. If you want excitement: Thai VietJet
  20. What Trump doesn't wear: watches with diamonds, gold, gold& silver, $100,000 value What he does wear: https://iflwatches.com/blogs/celebrities/what-watch-does-donald-trump-wear?srsltid=AfmBOop-yGG2LFgUYNfXcmUc7vQBXmj1aQeobWXscMzJyelnvCSVfzUP Vacheron Constantin Historiques 1968 about $20,750 (E-Bay) Rolex Day-Date 18038 $15,500 (E-Bay) patek philippe golden ellipse 3738 $22,650 (E-Bay)
  21. That would be great but ... Very difficult if not impossible due to high household debt. Thailand's average household debt has reached a record high due to slow economic growth, lower incomes and high living costs, and people are having trouble servicing their loans the country's household debt is16.4 trillion baht ($484 billion), or 90.8% of gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of March 2024, among the highest in Asia. And not improving. Average household debt up 8.4% this year. If the government doesn't understand all facets of a problem, it cannot solve the problem.
  22. "But yet everyone else manages ok"
  23. Let me reiterate: Thais (the "public electorate") vote for parties that promote their choice for PM and those parties occupy the House based on the number of minister seats they can claim. It's a parliamentary system. There was no "public electorate" election that led to Paetongtarn Shinawatra becoming PM.
