Cambodia Scraps Passport Stamps with New Digital ‘v-Pass’
Srikcir replied to geovalin's topic in Cambodia News
When you travel to the next country do you keep a paper printout of your e-visa to show that country's immigration versus a stamp in your passport? I'd expect entering a country that immigration will want to know where you have been previously with your passport unless you're entering with a "clean" passport. Entry/exit stamps from previous country visits would be provide such information. -

In which you will be a Minority shareholder. If that your goal - great. But I doubt with the complexities and risks associated with a minority shareholder in Thailand isn't what you want, at least related to the tourist business. You might think of a broader form of investment in Thailand that would be tied to a trade treaty or Foreign Direct Investment in primary Thai projects driven by the digital and automotive sectors and Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor. "Foreign investment in Thailand surges 34% as EEC draws over 47 billion baht," June 29, 2025 https://www.nationthailand.com/blogs/business/economy/40051901

Middle East Shadow War: How Israel Crippled Iran’s Nuclear Brain Trust
Srikcir replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Pre-nuclear Pakistan and North Korea overcame such limitation to become nuclear armed nations. Now with nuclear-armed Russia and North Korea as supporters of Iran, might their nuclear expertise be shared with Iran, albeit have allegedly offered nuclear weapons to Iran for nuclear parity with Israel? Ironically, by US's declaration of war against Iran by its direct attack against Iran, it may have lost any negotiation role to achieve Iran's denuclearization ambitions to China! Middle East Iran Demands End to US Strikes Before Nuclear Talks Can Resume

"Why Iranians Are Standing With Their Regime - Even When They Hate It," June 27, 2025 https://www.ndtv.com/opinion/why-iranians-are-backing-their-regime-even-if-they-hate-it-8774805 "...while the recent conflict has exposed the frailties of the theocratic regime in Iran, there is no proper alternative inside or outside the country to supplant it. On the other hand, to see the destruction of one's country, to see nuclear scientists being assassinated with impunity or public broadcasts being bombed is to see one's own nation being attacked, not a regime. This usually results in the public closing ranks around its government, no matter how disliked otherwise." "Any transformation, therefore, should be effected from inside, from within Iranian society, by Iranians themselves." How likely is it that POTUS Trump would allow himself to be diminished politically to give up his inflated ego in exchange for Iranian society to achieve regime change, especially after he committed to the total destruction of Iran? -

Report Thai-Cambodian Border Closures Threaten 60 Billion Baht Loss in Trade
Srikcir replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
This minor border spat will be the equivalent of Thailand losing thousands of foreign tourists which, if lasted months, would further degrade Thailand's GDP at a time of economic stress. It's past time for political reconciliation and negotiations, not military agendas. -
"Canada rescinds Digital Services Tax after Trump cuts off U.S. trade talks", Jun 29 2025 https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/30/canada-rescinds-digital-services-tax-after-trump-cuts-off-us-trade-talks.html I wouldn't call that Canada has "given in" but to allow TACO to give Canada a great trade deal. If Trump doesn't likely because he'll demand to high a price that threatens Canada's sovereignty, the tax can easily be reactivated.

Accident Japanese Tourist Drowns at Karon Beach During Phuket Holiday
Srikcir replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
I would think that Japanese living on an island would have good swimming capability to at least reach the beach shore. "most Japanese can swim well with crawl and breast stroke, but are not good at staying afloat, backstroke, diving, and underwater swimming," The History and Problem of Swimming Education in Japan, International Aquatic History Symposium and Film Festival 2012. An autopsy and/or consultation with family might indicate an issue with his "staying afloat', etc. His medical history and swimming proficiency might further cause for drowning. His girlfriend didn't seem to be able to add any information regarding his "went under." -
The Constitution requires for the democractic sovereignty of the nation through elections. If enough anti-Shinawatra coalition parties in Parliament can force and win a no-confidence vote against the PM, new elections by the electorate (registered public voters) is triggered. There is no necessity nor Constitutional authority from the military "to defend the sovereignty of the nation” through regime change. Although in reality the military has strong "influential" political projection on election of a new PM, particularly with might be military influence over the Senate. There is no reason for the sovereignty of the nation that the PM should resign.
