First, it's about New York state justice system, not the US. Every state (there are now 50) has its own guidelines vs a uniform federal sentencing guideline. Second, Trump was guilty of 34 individual criminal counts. Sentencing guidelines might not apply in whole but have to be evaluated for up to each count. Depending on the nature of the count and Trump's pre-trial, trial and post-trial behavior towards each, the guidelines matrix might become very complex. Thirdly, a sentence can be applied collectively for all 34 counts or in one or more cases uniquely applied to one or more counts. As a result the sentencing matrix becomes complicated further. Then there might arise with conflicting sentences, ie., one count would only require probation while another home confinement or incarceration. How would that be practical? Finally, it is the judge's decision but following a pre-sentencing interview and recommendations by a probation officer (?) to prepare a presentence report for the judge. Depending on availability of such officer, there might be delays for a final report. From Trump's viewpoint, the longer the delay probably the better, ie., after his party nomination, after the November US vote.

Move Forward Submits Defence to Constitutional Court

That is the power of the electorate under a constitutional monarchy - to establish and regulate the authority of a monarchy by the majority of the electorate. As such, all citizens of the State are not above the law. See the Magna Carta of 1215. "It (the Magna Carta) sought to prevent the king from exploiting his power, and placed limits of royal authority by establishing law as a power in itself." https://www.parliament.uk Just the opposite would be an absolute monarchy wherein the citizens are bound by the sole power of a monarchy which is above the laws. Note that Section 3 of the Thai constitution states that "Sovereign powers belong to the Thai people." And how is that power exercised? "...through the National Assembly (aka National Legislative Assembly consisting of the House and Senate), the Council of Ministers and the Courts..." https://www3.ago.go.th MFP is following the law under the Constitution with its anticipated amendment(s). -

This looks to be a segment of a much larger auto manufacturing problem in Thailand. Not just EVs. "In March 2024, Thailand produced 138,331 cars, down 23.08% from March 2023. This drop was due to reduced domestic production and sales, particularly in pickup trucks and passenger cars, which decreased by 41.01% following stricter credit approvals." - "Car Production in March 2024 totaled 138,331 units - M Report'" Apr 25, 2024, https://www.mreport.co.th › news "Thailand's car manufacturing target for 2024 may be downgraded as production continues to decline, with a sluggish economy affecting car sales, according to the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Not true as so many sources indicate. But you have to look. Since Q3 2021, EV sales have increased every quarter, and the share of total light-duty vehicle sales that EVs represent isn’t shrinking, either. The share of new sales that are plug-in electric increased from about 3% in Q1 2021 to about 7% in 2022 and then reached more than 10% in Q3 2023. "U.S. ELECTRIC VEHICLE SALES SOAR INTO ‘24", January 26, 2024 thicct.org The United States Electric Car Market size is estimated at 92.86 billion USD in 2024, and is expected to reach 248.9 billion USD by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 17.86% during the forecast period (2024-2030).https://www.mordorintelligence.com/industry-reports/united-states-electric-car-market
