The return of Wissanu Krea-ngam, legal savior for leaders in trouble
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"The return of Wissanu Krea-ngam, legal savior for leaders in trouble" might better read: "The return of Wissanu Krea-ngam, legal savior for authoritarian leaders in trouble" He never offered legal support for MFP nor Pita nor will he ever be asked. -

Remember Brexit. It's not 2017. "But from 2025, Brits need to apply for the European Travel Information and Authorisation Scheme (ETIAS) - a visa waiver that costs €7 (£6) to get. This is valid for 3 years, or until your passport expires." Apr 9, 2024 -

Move Forward Demands Clarity on Government’s Foreign Policy
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand dedollarizes the USD by joining BRIC. Thailand that has no legal interest in the resources of the South China Sea rejects the WTO ruling against China that claims the entire sea as part of its sovereignty and sides with China. Thailand buys dubious capable submarines from China. Thailand prioritizes Chinese tourists to Thailand. Immediately after the 2014 military coup the government signed trade and security agreements with China. See "Chinese Naval Fleet Arrived in Thailand for a Visit," Oct. 2017 from the Chinese Embassy. Thailand fully supports China's Silk Road trade strategy rejecting membership in US Asian-Pacific trade coalitions. Thailand ruling class rejects Western style democracy replaced by its own Thai authoritarian "democracy." Thailand has been since 1932 essentially a one-party system with a heavy hand on public participation to elect officials. While a bit outdated, not much has changed since this viewpoint in Jan. 2020: "America should be realistic about its alliance with Thailand," https://warontherocks.com -
Thai Activist Seeks Court Halt on Sale of Decade-Old Rice
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I see nowhere that Srisuwan has actually offered proof such as depositions of rice experts to back his claims. He only offers political and bombastic opinion versus the government that has fully tested the rice and evidenced by rice exporters willingness to sell immediately to their foreign clients. -
Thai Navy Set to Receive First Chinese Submarine Within Three Years
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Very long term and then not catch up with regional sub forces. http://thediplomat.com Vietnam operates SIX Russian kilo-class submarines. Singapore operates two Swedish Challenger-class submarines and two Swedish Archer-class submarines with four new Type 218SG subs from Germany. Indonesia operates five Type 209 submarines with order for an additional three. Malaysia operates two RMN subs and will have a four boat submarine fleet by 2050. -
Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records

Delay, delay, delay. "The case had been set for trial on March 4 in federal court in Washington. But that date was canceled amid an appeal by Trump on the legally untested question of whether a former president is immune from prosecution for official acts taken in the White House. The Supreme Court injected fresh uncertainty into the trial date, saying Wednesday that it would hear arguments in late April. That leaves it unclear whether a trial can be completed before the November election." https://apnews.com/article/trump-indictments-election-january-6-classified-documents-5cb04868bb1cdf91c19eafdb882af8c0 A grand jury indicted Trump on August 1, 2023 (for election subversion). The trial was originally scheduled for March 4 but is now on hold pending a Supreme Court decision on whether the former president should be immune to prosecution. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2024/05/donald-trump-legal-cases-charges/675531/ -

Within 36 hours, five people died: one was shot by Capitol Police, another died of a drug overdose, and three died of natural causes, including a police officer. Many people were injured, including 174 police officers. Four officers who responded to the attack died by suicide within seven months. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack If Trump never incited the attack on the Capitol, would these people still be alive? -

You think rapists run the factories? Unlikely. Maybe stricter factory accountability of use of the substance, beginning with its import and processing. But typically the industrial complex is a major campaign donor to get pro-industry candidates elected. There is bio-based 1,5-pentadiol - a commonly used substitute for bio-based 1,4-butanediol in several end-users such as automotive, electronics, textile, and more, owing to its range of benefits which include high flexibility, and low toxicity while delivering similar performance and strength in comparison to bio-based 1,4. https://www.industryarc.com/Research/Bio-based-1,4-butanediol-Market-Research-509323 But there would be an expense for US industries to convert, cost passed on to the consumer. Can't allow a hit on industry profit margins. Better people get hurt.

Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records
Srikcir replied to webfact's topic in World News
No. Before his conviction he was making repeated threats against the prosecution, families and by extension the jury. He incited the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection wherein 5 died and threaten killing the VPOTUS. If not jailed immediately that is the right of the judiciary for a 34-count conviction, Trump will elevate a call for violence to create chaos intended to keep him from incarceration. -
Excessive tourism could jeopardize Koh Larn's future
Srikcir replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
For challenges as a middle-income economy Thailand needed to transform its economy from agriculture to export-oriented manufacturing. Not increase low income value, how cost tourism. But the export price index for high value Thai manufactured goods increased by only 6% in total during the last 8 years. Thais need to face the fact that the Prayut-Thavisin-TBD governments are incapable of getting Thais out of the middle income class trap and have only worsened it. Middle-income trapped countries need to embrace a strategy focused on capability to advance innovation, move up the value chain, and create decent jobs. Tourism will not advance the country out of the middle income class trap. -

Did that for application for the visa. Not an issue for extension other than you must not redact anything in submitted forms. As for application and 5-year extension, there is no return for current year but I can get online for current year a personalized statement of retirement benefits (from federal government in my case) that will provide details about your monthly pension. -
