  1. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha . . . And the laughing at the sheer nonsense went on for several more minutes. Nothing noted medically in all the labored gibberish except normal blood pressure. Back to my laughing hahahahahaha . . .
  2. Yet another example. And, I rest my case.
  3. Why? Because he's a member of the far-flung legion who, when thinking about Pattaya, must quote Brokeback Mountain to sum it up best, "I wish I knew how to quit you." But, they can't quit Pattaya, no matter how long they've been gone, no matter how much they might want to. Likely spending time in Pattaya was one of the biggest highlights of their lives, and they just can't 'quit' it. So, wherever they have ended up in the World, they spend their valuable, dwindling, remaining time on the planet perusing the Pattaya Forum and commenting on anything and everything pertaining to Pattaya, even though they often have no idea what they are talking about because they haven't been here in years. In this case, 'nearly 20 years'. Often their posts on Pattaya are in the disparaging, sour grapes vein. Basically, I'm not there, I dearly wish I was there, let me post a nasty comment that will make me feel a little better about not being there. Excellent example here, with the post you commented on. Poster hasn't been here in nearly 20 years and is still forever fascinated about Pattaya, is still diligently reading everything about it after all this time, and is still trying to be a part of it. But, says he's 'happy' about not being in Pattaya in nearly 20 years. Umm, no you're not. But, do keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel a little better.
  4. I love Japan, lived there for 3 years as child. Been back once and hope to go again later this year or next.
  5. Sometimes eggs or french toast, usually corn flakes mixed with fruit granola with sliced banana on top. Coffee with Equal.
  6. Looks like an absolute deranged madman.
  7. Normally I give the advice, ask yourself if you are better off with her or without her. I think it's pretty plain in this case. Run, don't walk.
  8. Shameless. Keep protesting and causing bad publicity.
  9. Just another 'make work' useless proposal in the vein of 'Look Ma, I'm working! Hard!' They need these to try to justify the obscenely huge budget increase they want for next year, going from 3.25 billion baht to 5 billion baht. Breathtaking in its audacity.
  10. Translation: They wanted to find a 'way in' to the trough.
  11. Thank you, well-written article, for letting us know that Anutin attended the ceremony and he appointed Srettha as the new PM. I thought a higher authority did that, so good to get the correct scoop on that. Also vital information, readers, he left the ceremony by elevator.
  12. If anyone thinks he's going to serve 8 years I've got a bridge for sale . . .
  13. Okey dokey. Guess he didn't want it misplaced in prison--although it could have kept him in cigarettes and other prison niceties for awhile.
  14. Well, the week is certainly looking up! Donnie, ask for the vertical stripes with your prison garb. Vertical stripes, as you know, are much more slimming than horizontal, and with your morbidly obese weight . . .
  15. Well, that's the one thing they are all focused on so should work out just dandy.
  16. According to my Thai partner, he arrived wearing a $1,200,000 watch. Yeah, a real man of the people. He and the ancient tub of lard who is apparently still alive can swap watches and have a grand old time.
  17. Ha. Ha. Ha. Hope they were tasty because they are likely going to cause severe indigestion later.
  18. Oh, my. Where to begin. Can't believe he wants Thailand to be in the same fine company regarding human rights with China, let alone North Korea. How he was able to utter that with a straight face is beyond me. Plenty of scams all over the internet, might as well get rid of the whole internet all together to be on the safe side.
  19. What utter and complete nonsense. Greater Pattaya is huge, consisting of a large number of different neighborhoods and districts, both on the Beachside and the Darkside. You live in the small tourist/entertainment area of Greater Pattaya and are judging the whole city on what you observe in your small, immediate area. Sort of like someone living right on the Vegas Strip, never venturing off it, and complaining that the whole city is just gamblers. The vast number of farangs living in Pattaya are not living where you are, and you are likely not running into any of them. The vast number of farangs living in Pattaya are not drinking next to you at this bar or that bar every night. Instead, they are living normal lives, doing normal things. I've said many times that my lifestyle didn't change when I moved to Pattaya--I do the same things I did in the USA, just more cheaply and with good weather year-round. I think that is true for many, as well. You seem to be unhappy with your life, perhaps because you are not living a normal life. Drinking alone at a bar every night is not normal; I would be unhappy in your shoes, too. As I said to another poster on the retirement home thread, you need to get out more--and go greater distances when you do venture out. You clearly have a distorted image of Greater Pattaya based on the small area that you never seem to venture from. You would find that most farangs are living in places other than the in-town tourist areas. They are in condos and housing estates in Jomtien, Wong Amat, Pratamnak, Cosy Beach, Na Jomtien, Naklua, and others. Many are in the hundreds of housing estates on the Darkside. Yes, you read that right--there are hundreds of housing estates on the other side of Sukhumvit, likely an area you have never been to. Maybe skip a day of drinking and do some exploring. I suggest a trip to Lake Mabprachan on the Darkside. Rent a bike from one of the venders and take a ride around the lake on the nice bike path.
  20. Instead of asking someone to 'post the proof' why don't you actually leave your room and discover some things for yourself. I believe you may be the one who inspired the expression, 'you need to get out more', as you clearly do, and clearly have no idea. I wonder if you have ever even been to the Darkside of Pattaya, which has hundreds of housing estates, big and small. If you did leave your room, you would discover that 6MB would be on the low end for detached houses, especially newer ones. My partner and I have bought 2 houses and are in the process of buying a third house and all were over 6MB. Most new detached house projects would start around that range and go up from there. At the new project we are buying at, the prices run from 6.5 to 10MB, in the average range. You can find smaller, older homes without a pool for less than 6MB but the growing market for farang buyers is a detached home with a pool. Take a drive over to the Darkside sometime, visit some of the many new housing projects, and you'll see what I am talking about.
  21. 'Thaksin returns'. Umm, no he hasn't. Wait until he actually returns, if he does, before putting up a headline like that. He's said he will return 20some times in the past--and didn't.
  22. Baloney. He is no more at risk than any other prisoner,--all prisoners are at risk--and should be treated no differently. He certainly doesn't warrant any 'conveniences' that other prisoners don't receive.
